Call to Order and Introductions Ted Bowers, Taylor, <strong>NAIA</strong>-TFCA President Meeting was called to order at 8:15am. TFCA Officers and championship meet personnel were introduced as follows: Starters: John Deardorff, Larry Able, Vic Everett Head Event Referees: David Lawhorn (KY) Running, Richard Messenger (WV) Field, Cornie Wassink (IA) Multi Media Coordinator: Rudy Roediger, Notre Dame Col.) II. Indoor Championship Meet Information Charlie Powell, Meet Director Reviewed start/split locations, access to the outdoor track venue, access points to the competition area, coaches boxes, athletic training area/hours, venue layout, warm-up areas, spike restrictions, etc. III. Report on Minutes Ford Mastin, OK Baptist, <strong>NAIA</strong>-TFCA Secretary Minutes from the May 2010 business meeting can be found in the coaches manual. Indoors Games Committee Jack Kegg, Oregon Tech Highlighted important issues of the upcoming meet and gave starting heights for high jump and pole vault. Items of discussion included advancement to finals in field events, uniforms, credentials, coaching boxes and warm-up areas, electronic devices, bib placement, the appeals process, awards instructions, and results posting. B. Standards Committee Randy Dalzell, Concordia (OR) The standards committee has been proactively looking at standards in light of the increased in participation for the last several years. The committee will continue to work within the direction of the NAC C. Events Committee Ford Mastin, Oklahoma Baptist Committee members were introduced. The committee will work with the standards committee on task force questions. D. Hall of Fame Committee Rod Wortley, Cornerstone June is the nomination deadline for next year. There are many folks who deserve this honor, and coaches were encouraged to continue reviewing their school history to identify possible nominees. E. Past President Committee Ed Fye, Doane No report. F. USATF Update John Foss, Indiana Wesleyan <strong>Coaches</strong> were encouraged to get involved in their local associations. Local associations are mandated to send representation to the annual convention, so it is possible to have the trip paid for by the local assoc. It is a good way to get involved in coaches education. G. <strong>NAIA</strong> Update Dustin Wilke, <strong>NAIA</strong> National Office Thanked the host and alerted that Spire Institute will be the host for 3 more years. Other topics of discussion included the new <strong>NAIA</strong> website, the Champions of Character Program, <strong>NAIA</strong> Convention and the letter of intent proposal, the <strong>NAIA</strong> Eligibility Center, and <strong>NAIA</strong> Scholar-Athlete nominations. V. Committee Composition Ted Bowers A. Outdoor Games Committee has one open position for 2012. Larry Hartwick (Northwood) and Kent Allshouse (Bethel Ks.) were nominated. Larry Hartwick was elected by a vote of 99-12. VI. New Business Ted Bowers A.
