Praxair’s I-SOSM service can be more<br />
cost effective than many alternative<br />
options. <strong>In</strong> addition to quick installation,<br />
it provides a range of benefits that other<br />
solutions can lack.<br />
The use of oxygen instead of air eliminates<br />
nitrogen from the aeration system.<br />
This virtually eliminates VOC stripping<br />
from the water, and minimizes foaming,<br />
which can foul equipment, impede mixing<br />
and further reduce oxygen transfer.<br />
<strong>In</strong> addition, the I-SO TM system provides<br />
excellent solids suspension, and decreased<br />
odor emissions. By reducing total gas<br />
throughput, the oxygen-based system<br />
reduces emissions volume, which can<br />
help meet air emissions regulations.<br />
The floating I-SO TM system has been<br />
installed in tanks and lagoons at a range<br />
of depths. An erosion reduction plate<br />
system attaches to the bottom of the draft<br />
tube, and is used for installation in shallow,<br />
earthen-lined lagoons. The unit’s two<br />

on site, and the complete assembly is<br />
lifted into the tank or lagoon, where it<br />
floats. No support structures are needed.<br />

utilization, as well as reduced emissions,<br />
the Praxair <strong>In</strong>-<strong>Situ</strong> <strong>Oxygenation</strong> (I-SO TM )<br />
system is being widely used for industrial<br />
wastewater aeration. Over 100 Praxair<br />
I-SO TM systems have been installed<br />

Single, Floating I-<strong>SOTM</strong> <strong>System</strong><br />
The Praxair I-SOSM service combines the<br />
technology of Praxair’s floating <strong>In</strong>-<strong>Situ</strong><br />
<strong>Oxygenation</strong> (I-<strong>SOTM</strong> ) system and the<br />
TMVU-100 Portable Vaporizer.<br />
Praxair’s I-SO TM system uses an innovative<br />
mechanical mixer to deliver 99.5%<br />
pure oxygen, instead of air, to boost dissolved<br />
oxygen availability in water and<br />
wastewater treatment systems.<br />
Portable Oxygen Vaporizer<br />
This unit, in conjunction with the Praxair<br />
I-<strong>SOTM</strong> system, is delivered and set-up by<br />
Praxair’s service technicians. The liquid<br />
oxygen tank and vaporizer is a fully automated<br />
unit and is equipped with a low<br />
temperature shut-off valve to ensure that<br />
your piping system is not exposed to<br />
cryogenic temperatures. The unit can be<br />
manned, if necessary. (Vaporizer shown<br />
in photo above).<br />
