The December meeting was a wonderful pre-Christmas treat. Gerry Hayles, Helen Mitchell, Jenny Liardet, and Becky Newsom provided us with some hilarious entertainment and we all enjoyed mulled wine and mince pies. The following is the outline programme for the first half of 2012 (all events are on a Thursday): 12th January Homestart talk 9th February Quiz with a difference!! 15th March Air Ambulance talk 19th April Swap evening (clothes, jewellery, china etc.) 17th May Local treasure hunt All meetings begin at 7.30 pm and end at approximately 9.00 pm. They are held in the Meon Hall, Meonstoke and the cost is £2.00. Ladies of all ages from the Meon villages are very welcome: do come – you'll be able to catch up with old friends and make new Annual Parochial Church Council Meetings 7.30 pm on Wednesday, 25th April at The Meon Hall, Meonstoke There will be a single Joint Benefice Annual Parochial Church Meeting which will be immediately followed by the individual parishes’ APCMs. To come to the annual meetings you will need to be on the Electoral Roll of one of the churches. If you have not already joined and would like to do so, forms are available at the back of the four churches. The completed Electoral Roll forms need to be returned to the rector, the relevant church electoral roll officer, or to a churchwarden, at least 15 days before the annual meetings. The Electoral Roll is then available in each church for inspection. The first draw under under their new management will be in February and the results for that and the March draw will be published in the April-May issue of The Bridge. Advertising Manager The Bridge needs an advertising manager to take over control of advertising: � To maintain a waiting list of potential advertisers � To send out renewal reminder letters at the end of each year � To keep a check list of renewals and details of payments � To follow up overdue replies and payments � To offer space to contacts on the waiting list � To pass to the editor any adverts submitted by advertisers.
