Emotional/Feeling Energy Field<br />

It is the function of the Connector to provide leadership in developing nurturing, sustainable<br />

relationships between everyone within the organization and with everyone with<br />

whom the organization interacts. This includes alliances with other organizations. The<br />

Connector creates an environment of caring and accepting where people experience the<br />

energy element of love and a sense of their own worth and the worth of others. In the traditional<br />

organizations where the Human Resources Department is empowered to help<br />

people improve the quality of their relationships, and has not been reduced to processing<br />

employee applications, benefit <strong>for</strong>ms, and legal documents, they provide this function.<br />

The core function of Connection is to facilitate and strengthen relationships and processes<br />

that create powerful alliances based on kindness and mutuality.<br />

The key feature of Connection is Fusion, the coalescing of relationships based on honoring<br />

individual contributions.<br />

4. Promotion – What you will relate about<br />

It is the function of the Promoter to provide leadership in developing the identity of the<br />

organization and presenting it as a consistent brand through public relations and marketing<br />

programs. The Promoter is responsible <strong>for</strong> market research and being aware of the<br />

right time and the right way to bring products and services <strong>for</strong>ward. A kind of cheerleader,<br />

the Promoter generates internal and external enthusiasm and keeps things moving<br />

and advancing. In a traditional organization, this function is somewhat covered by someone<br />

with a title like V.P. of Marketing.<br />

The core function of Promotion is to generate and foster enthusiasm and good will<br />

through authentic, timely presentations that sustain a consistent public identity.<br />

The key feature of Promotion is Passion, the emotional fuel that catalyzes dynamic response<br />

and trans<strong>for</strong>mative action.<br />

The core functions of Connection and Promotion, with their key features of Fusion and<br />

Passion are relational and expressive. They provide the how and the what in the Emotional/Feeling<br />

Energy Field that is the energy source of the heart and will power of the organization.<br />

5. Direction – What you KNOW<br />

Conceptual/Knowing Energy Field<br />

It is the function of the Director to provide leadership in articulating the Mission and developing<br />

a business strategy and plan to implement it, a role typically held by the President<br />

or CEO in a traditional organization. The Director, through setting and aligning, puts<br />

people and things in place and directs the administrative functions of the organization.<br />

The Director also provides leadership in establishing a training and development program<br />

that supports participants.<br />
