Welcome to <strong>Oxford</strong> <strong>Brookes</strong> <strong>University</strong> on<br />
behalf of the Hospitality Services Department,<br />
part of Estates and Facilities who manage the<br />
Halls of Residence.<br />
Becky Allen, the Office Manager at Clive Booth Student Village and I<br />
am delighted to welcome you to the largest and possibly the most diverse<br />
hall of residence at <strong>Oxford</strong> <strong>Brookes</strong> <strong>University</strong>. I will be responsible to<br />
ensure you get the best support and customer service when you report to<br />
the Hall Office and during out of office hours. To contact us, please come<br />

I realise you will receive a lot of information from the <strong>University</strong>, especially if<br />
you are a new <strong>student</strong>. However, this booklet is designed to provide you<br />
with specific information on your accommodation. It will help you to settle<br />
down and make the most out of your time with us at Clive Booth. I would<br />
also like to remind you that when you sign and accept your license to<br />
occupy, you are agreeing to the regulations set out in these documents. If<br />
you are unsure about anything, please ask any staff member and we will<br />
do all we can to help you.<br />

My name is Gary Carter, I am the Operations Manager at Clive Booth<br />
Student Village. I head up a friendly team of 5 Team Supervisors and<br />
3 operational teams consisting of 36 Domestic & Portering staff along<br />
with 4 Handypersons providing the cleaning support & first response<br />
maintenance services for you. It is important to us that the services<br />
we provide for you are delivered in the most friendly, efficient and<br />
supportive manner. Our intention is to ensure your stay with us is<br />
as comfortable, clean and secure as possible.<br />
Further, living in a diverse and dynamic environment can be a challenge<br />
for some <strong>student</strong>s being the first time not living at home – we have a<br />
great deal of knowledge and experience and are here to help <strong>student</strong>s<br />
adapt and meet these challenges should you need it. We share in your<br />
aspiration to achieve academically and will do everything we can to<br />
ensure your living environment is conducive to study and rest and<br />
providing you with the best possible <strong>student</strong> experience.
