In order to monitor and document
events and processes, it is necessary
to display important
information such as time, temperature,
ATM amounts or
access data directly into the
camera picture.
With the low-priced text insertion
GTD, NORMA systems combines
all display and interface
functions in one product.
The GTD, combined with bar-
code scanners, card readers,
POS systems etc., realizes live
observance with a monitor, as
well as the archiving of pictures
and data on a DVR.
The data will be received via the
serial data port of a cash register
(e.g. printer or customer display)
or optionally via a local area
network. In order to display all
entry data of a cash register at a
supermarket, petrol station or
restaurant the GTD has a userdefined
auto scrolling mode.
A special POS software allows to
define exceptions of such events
as refunds, voids or no sales.
The GTD enables to recording
simultaneously the superimposed
data via an additionally
RS232 comport at a database of
a CCTV system. At a later date
the user can searching for all
suspicious transactions by using
keywords in the receipt.
A galvanic separated relay out-
put makes it possible to control a
CCTV system in that way, that
only picture sequences with
included on-screen data are
recorded.
Evidently, the text display contains
a battery buffered real time
clock (with managing of daylight
saving time), in order to document
all events, including present
time and date.
The configuration of the GTD is
managed by the PC program
which is included for free.
With the PC setup shell, the user
may choose from various predefined
protocols and configure
parameters like baud rate and
data format.
The protocol data is shown in
data fields, which can be placed
freely on a 16 x 40 character
pattern, by using the PC mouse.
Additionally a text mask with
individual texts, respectively data
field designators, can be
configured.
Besides a large variety of
standard protocols covering
banking, access control systems
and ATM-machines, NORMA
systems offers low-priced integration
of individual protocols for
customers.
