experience! Convention pho<strong>to</strong>s will be available for<br />

viewing and purchase online at ahima .org/events<br />

approximately two weeks after the conclusion of<br />

the event .<br />

Convention Shuttle Sponsored by:<br />

Location: Level 2, Gates 31–34<br />

Shuttle service <strong>to</strong> the convention center is provided<br />

from the official convention hotels not within walking<br />

distance during convention hours . These include The<br />

Avenue, The Drake, Fairfield Inn and Suites, Holiday<br />

Inn Mart Plaza, Hyatt Regency Chicago, Renaissance,<br />

Residence Inn, Shera<strong>to</strong>n, Spring Hill Inn, and Westin .<br />

Shuttle schedules and information are available in<br />

the hotel lobbies and at the information booth in the<br />

convention center .<br />

Internet Café and Wireless Internet Access<br />

Location: Level 2 , Lobby<br />

Trying <strong>to</strong> connect with fellow attendees but don’t have<br />

their contact information? Visit the Internet Café and<br />

send a message by “convention mail .” The screens at<br />

the Internet Café list attendees who have messages .<br />

In addition, use these computer workstations <strong>to</strong> check<br />

e-mail, browse the Web, complete the attendee survey,<br />

and review handouts .<br />

Wireless internet access is also complimentary at<br />

McCormick Place . Log on <strong>to</strong> the “MCCORMICK”<br />

network <strong>to</strong> access wireless internet .<br />

Lost and Found<br />

Location: Level 3, Lobby, AHIMA Info Desk<br />

A lost and found is located at the AHIMA <strong>Information</strong><br />

Booth (Level 3 Lobby) . At the end of the convention all<br />

unclaimed items are turned over <strong>to</strong> security personnel<br />

at the McCormick Place, Lakeside Center .<br />

Press Room<br />

Location: Level 2, E255<br />

The press room is open Saturday through Wednesday .<br />

AHIMA’s Media Relations staff will be available <strong>to</strong> assist<br />

media representatives in covering the 84th AHIMA<br />

Convention and Exhibit .<br />

Printer Stations<br />

Location: Level 2, Lobby<br />

Conveniently located in the Level 2 Lobby, stations are<br />

solely for limited printing of session materials . Avoid<br />

lines by printing necessary materials pre- or postconvention<br />

through the Convention Planner at ahima .<br />

ContInuIng eDuCatIon<br />

Continuing Education Units (CEUs)<br />

AHIMA CEUs are earned by attending both the<br />

general session and educational track sessions,<br />

Monday through Wednesday .<br />

Monday | Oc<strong>to</strong>ber 1 | 5 CEUs<br />

Tuesday | Oc<strong>to</strong>ber 2 | 5 CEUs<br />

Wednesday | Oc<strong>to</strong>ber 3 | 5 CEUs<br />

Additional CEUs can be earned by participating in<br />

special meetings, pre- and post-convention workshops, *<br />

educational site visits, * Product World demonstrations,<br />

and institutes * on Saturday, Sunday, and Thursday . Earn<br />

up <strong>to</strong> three additional CEUs by visiting the exhibit hall<br />

each day .<br />

Evaluation and CEU Certificates<br />

Your convention experience and opinions are important<br />

<strong>to</strong> AHIMA and the convention planning committee .<br />

Evaluations and CE Certificates are available online .<br />

Complete the evaluation and receive your CE Certificate<br />

during or after the convention . Once the evaluation is<br />

completed, you will receive an e-mail containing your<br />

CE certificate . The evaluation program will remain<br />

available through November 2, 2012 .<br />
