Tim Brady sank a pair of free throws and Reuel Rogers
added a 3-point play to give Ohio Wesleyan a 5-0 lead less
than a minute into the game, but the Panthers rallied to
defeat the Bishops in the season opener for both teams.

Rogers scored 8 points and Greg White added 7 points
during a 24-6 run that gave Ohio Wesleyan the lead, and the
Bishops went on to defeat the Ravens in the first round of the
Al Van Wie/Wooster Rotary Classic, hosted by the College of
Wooster.

Andy Winters and Brady hit consecutive baskets to
give Ohio Wesleyan the lead in overtime, and the Bishops
withstood a Yellow Jacket rally to post a win in the second
round of the Al Van Wie/Wooster Rotary Classic, hosted by
the College of Wooster. Brady was named the tournament’s
Most Valuable Player. He was joined on the all-tournament
team by Winters.

Brady scored 5 points during a 9-0 second-half burst
that opened up a double-digit lead, and added a pair of free
throws to kick off a 10-0 second-half run that slammed the
door as the Bishops defeated the Grizzlies in their home
opener.

Vaughn Spaulding sank a free throw to break a 67-
67 tie, and Brady hit 2 free throws to ice the win as Ohio
Wesleyan defeated the Bears in the first round of the Rhodes
Thanksgiving Classic.

Winters scored 6 points down the stretch, including
a basket that put Ohio Wesleyan ahead to stay, as the
Bishops wiped out a 10-point deficit to defeat the Lynx in the
championship game of the Rhodes Thanksgiving Classic.

Conference opener.

Brady scored 14 points and Winters tallied all 11 of his
points during the first half as Ohio Wesleyan built a 16-point
halftime lead, and the Bishops pulled away for an NCAC win
over the Lords.

Brady scored 10 of his season-high 33 points during the
final 5 minutes of regulation time as Ohio Wesleyan took an
NCAC win over the Tigers. The win was the Bishops’ eighth
in a row, moving Ohio Wesleyan’s record to 8-1. The last time
the Battling Bishops started out a season 8-1 was in 1961-62.

Billy Reilich converted a 3-point play to highlight an
early 10-2 run that opened up a double-digit lead, and Ohio
Wesleyan held the Britons at arm’s length to take a win in
the first round of the Smokey Ballenger Classic, hosted by
Otterbein University. Marshall Morris grabbed a career-high
22 rebounds, becoming the first Ohio Wesleyan player to
reach 20 rebounds since Brian Nash collected 20 against
Allegheny on Feb. 19, 2000.
