Billie Sue Parry ’69 retired from 28 years <strong>of</strong> sales with Xerox Corp. �ve<br />
years ago. Since <strong>the</strong>n she has been working in part-time jobs just for<br />
<strong>the</strong> fun <strong>of</strong> it. Most recently, she is clerk <strong>of</strong> her church and secretary for<br />
institutional religious services for inmates in county jails.<br />
Harriet McCleary ’70 is teaching private voice at St. Olaf College and<br />
at home. McCleary is director <strong>of</strong> Ca<strong>the</strong>dral Choristers and a member <strong>of</strong><br />
Ca<strong>the</strong>dral Choir at St. Mark’s Episcopal Ca<strong>the</strong>dral, Minneapolis.<br />
For Sherrie McDonald Brady ’73 retirement was a struggle at �rst;<br />
she couldn’t seem to �nd any direction. Lately, however, she has found<br />
great enjoyment playing in <strong>the</strong> pit orchestra for local musicals, leading<br />
<strong>the</strong> handbell choir at church and doing a little music arranging. And,<br />
yes, <strong>the</strong>re is a cruise to <strong>the</strong> sou<strong>the</strong>rn Caribbean on <strong>the</strong> horizon.<br />
Steve Fuhrmann ’73 is married to Lola Allbright, ’73 <strong>TCU</strong> graduate<br />
from Harris College <strong>of</strong> Nursing. He does occasional cello playing <strong>the</strong>se<br />
days, typically at church, and anticipates retiring from a career in<br />
human resources management at <strong>the</strong> U.S. Air Force Academy in <strong>2011</strong><br />
and increased music involvement.<br />
Kelly Webb-Ferebee ’73 published a Halloween songbook and<br />
CD for children and performed her songs Oct. 28, 2010, at <strong>the</strong> <strong>TCU</strong><br />
Barnes & Noble bookstore. She also performed at Austin’s bookstore<br />
BookPeople, and she had more than 100 children present. It was<br />
amazing! Webb-Ferebee wrote <strong>the</strong> songs while teaching music in a<br />
Montessori school in <strong>the</strong> ’80s. They are terri�c songs for preschool and<br />
elementary music teachers to use in <strong>the</strong>ir classrooms.<br />
Carol Cappa ’74 has been working for American Airlines and <strong>the</strong>n Sabre<br />
Holdings for many years at <strong>the</strong> s<strong>of</strong>tware help desk. In 2005 she was laid o�<br />
when all <strong>the</strong> call centers for Sabre were moved to South America. Making<br />
lemonade out <strong>of</strong> lemons, she decided to return to school and, in 2008,<br />
graduated with a degree in respiratory care. For <strong>the</strong> past three years she<br />
has been working as a respiratory <strong>the</strong>rapist at <strong>the</strong> VA Hospital in <strong>Da</strong>llas.<br />
This fall, Carol began her 12th season as a member <strong>of</strong> <strong>the</strong> <strong>Da</strong>llas Symphony<br />
Chorus, under <strong>the</strong> direction <strong>of</strong> <strong>the</strong> new chorus director, Josh Haberman.<br />
The chorus had a wonderful season last year under <strong>the</strong> direction <strong>of</strong> Jaap<br />
Van Zweden and, in May, traveled to New York City to participate in a<br />
new orchestra festival held at Carnegie Hall. The chorus and orchestra<br />
performed a commissioned work called “August 4, 1964,” composed by<br />
John Stucky. Carol looks forward to hearing from her classmates and<br />

William Collins ’74 is now operating <strong>the</strong> Sherman Jazz Museum in<br />
Sherman, <strong>Texas</strong>. Its website is shermanjazzmuseum.com. He retired in<br />
2006 from 30 years <strong>of</strong> freelance work in <strong>the</strong> D/FW area, mainly as a pit<br />
musician playing <strong>the</strong> touring Broadway shows out <strong>of</strong> New York.<br />
James R. Horne ’75 is happily married with two beautiful girls and<br />
employed at <strong>the</strong> best company in <strong>the</strong> world. [Editor’s note: James<br />
works at Full Sail University.] He loves <strong>the</strong> job and his life.<br />
<strong>Da</strong>ryll Kaire ’75 has been working with Mr. E’s <strong>Music</strong> <strong>the</strong> past six years<br />
after retiring from 30 years <strong>of</strong> teaching. He traveled this year to <strong>the</strong><br />
Rose Bowl. Kaire and his wife also went to <strong>the</strong> <strong>TCU</strong> Band’s performance<br />
at Carnegie Hall in New York City.<br />
Diane <strong>Da</strong>venport Schutz ’75 is now director <strong>of</strong> a senior citizens<br />
community choir and a member <strong>of</strong> <strong>the</strong> adjunct faculty at New Mexico<br />
State University. She is also president <strong>of</strong> <strong>the</strong> New Mexico American<br />
Choral Directors Association. She would love to hear from o<strong>the</strong>rs from<br />
<strong>the</strong> class <strong>of</strong> 1975. Go Frogs!<br />
Lew Williams ’75 is in his 32nd year as sta� organist for Organ Stop<br />
Pizza in Mesa, Ariz. The organ <strong>the</strong>re is <strong>the</strong> largest <strong>the</strong>ater pipe organ<br />
in public in <strong>the</strong> world, with some four manuals and 78 ranks: www.<br />
organstoppizza.com. Williams was one <strong>of</strong> �ve organists who played<br />
a public organ concert at Radio City <strong>Music</strong> Hall in New York in August<br />
2008. The concert, organized by Col. Jack Moelmann, was <strong>the</strong> �rst one<br />
when <strong>the</strong> organ had been heard in concert since 1970. In October<br />
2010, Williams performed �ve <strong>the</strong>ater organ concerts in Germany,<br />
including at <strong>the</strong> North German Radio Station in Hamburg.<br />
V. Laura Bozeman ’78 was nominated for Outstanding Precollegiate<br />
Teacher <strong>of</strong> <strong>the</strong> Year for 2010 by <strong>the</strong> East <strong>Texas</strong> <strong>Music</strong> Teachers<br />
Association. ETMTA was nominated for Best <strong>of</strong> State by <strong>Texas</strong> <strong>Music</strong><br />
Teachers Association for 2010. Bozeman was an adjunct instructor<br />
in <strong>the</strong> Department <strong>of</strong> <strong>Music</strong> and <strong>Da</strong>nce at Tyler Junior College and<br />
taught music appreciation, applied piano lessons and class piano. She<br />
also taught for <strong>the</strong> Choir <strong>School</strong> <strong>of</strong> East <strong>Texas</strong> and at <strong>the</strong> University<br />
<strong>of</strong> <strong>Texas</strong> at Tyler as a part-time lecturer. Before moving to East <strong>Texas</strong>,<br />
Laura taught piano at Our Lady <strong>of</strong> Victory <strong>School</strong> in Fort Worth, <strong>the</strong><br />
<strong>TCU</strong> Piano Preparatory <strong>School</strong>, and <strong>the</strong> Piano Project at <strong>the</strong> University<br />
<strong>of</strong> <strong>Texas</strong> at Austin. She was also <strong>the</strong> host <strong>of</strong> an evening program <strong>of</strong><br />
classical music on K<strong>TCU</strong>-FM. Her piano recitals included a program <strong>of</strong><br />
modern music, played at <strong>the</strong> Caravan <strong>of</strong> Dreams Theater in downtown<br />
Fort Worth. Continuing studies have included <strong>the</strong> <strong>TCU</strong>/Cliburn Piano<br />
Institute and attending two <strong>of</strong> <strong>the</strong> World Piano Pedagogy Conferences<br />
as an adjudicator. Her private students include high school seniors who<br />
have won �rst place in UIL state auditions for <strong>the</strong> <strong>Texas</strong> Association <strong>of</strong><br />
Private and Parochial <strong>School</strong>s and adults who are advanced amateurs.<br />
