APPENDIX A - In<strong>for</strong>mation Quality Act Details<br />

IV. Document how the following st<strong>and</strong>ards <strong>for</strong> utility are met by the in<strong>for</strong>mation<br />

product:<br />

A. The content of the in<strong>for</strong>mation is helpful, beneficial, or serviceable to its<br />

intended users, or that in<strong>for</strong>mation supports the usefulness of other<br />

disseminated in<strong>for</strong>mation by making it more accessible or easier to read,<br />

see, underst<strong>and</strong>, obtain, or use.<br />

Product is a modification of an existing model <strong>and</strong> follows Division past<br />

practice <strong>for</strong> user testing <strong>for</strong> usefulness <strong>and</strong> usability by its intended<br />

audience. Interface protocols <strong>for</strong> the existing ALOHA have been<br />

maintained.<br />

B. The in<strong>for</strong>mation product is disseminated in a manner that allows it to be<br />

accessible <strong>and</strong> underst<strong>and</strong>able to a broad range of users.<br />

Product is available electronically at http://response.restoration.noaa.gov.<br />

V. Document how the following st<strong>and</strong>ards <strong>for</strong> integrity are met by the<br />

in<strong>for</strong>mation product:<br />

A. All electronic in<strong>for</strong>mation disseminated by NOAA adheres to the<br />

st<strong>and</strong>ards set out in Appendix III, "Security of Automated<br />

In<strong>for</strong>mation Resources," OMB Circular A-130; the Computer<br />

Security Act; <strong>and</strong> the Government In<strong>for</strong>mation Security Re<strong>for</strong>m Act.<br />

As with all electronic in<strong>for</strong>mation disseminated by NOAA, the<br />

in<strong>for</strong>mation product adheres to the referenced st<strong>and</strong>ards.<br />

B. Confidentiality of data (i.e., census, business, or financial data)<br />

collected by NOAA is safeguarded under legislation such as the<br />

Privacy Act <strong>and</strong> Titles 13, 15, <strong>and</strong> 22 of the U.S. Code.<br />
