July 6, 2012…<strong>Lucy</strong> Peacock’s <strong>cabaret</strong> <strong>series</strong> Late Night with <strong>Lucy</strong> has been so popular<br />

with patrons that it is officially <strong>sold</strong> <strong>out</strong>. The first performance of the eight-night summer<br />

<strong>series</strong> begins at the <strong>Festival</strong>’s new Studio Theatre Annex space tonight at 11:30 p.m.<br />

The <strong>cabaret</strong>-style evening filled with music, stories and laughter is a celebration of Ms.<br />

Peacock’s 25 seasons at the <strong>Festival</strong>. Most Friday nights in July and August the afterhours<br />

<strong>series</strong> will invite ticket-holders to watch Ms Peacock and several invited artists and<br />

friends share their talents and passions in a casual setting.<br />

“<strong>Lucy</strong> has such an insatiable creative spirit,” says Artistic Director Des McAnuff. “I’ve<br />

had the pleasure of working with her on three occasions and her energy and warmth are<br />

both luminous and inspirational. I am so pleased the <strong>Festival</strong> is able to host this fun and<br />

joyful <strong>cabaret</strong> <strong>series</strong> as part of our 60 th season.”<br />

“I am very excited to attend this <strong>series</strong>,” says General Director Antoni Cimolino. “To<br />

watch these artists perform material of their own choosing, that they’re passionate ab<strong>out</strong><br />

and that speaks to them, will be a real treat for those in attendance. This light-hearted and<br />

fun-filled evening will undoubtedly be an entertaining and jubilant celebration of music<br />

and theatre.”<br />

Anna Atkinson, Richard Binsley, Laura Burton, Laura Condlln, Shawn DeSouza, Ryan<br />

Field, Graham Hargrove, David Keeley, Aidan Keeley, Claire Lautier, Ken MacDonald,<br />

Nora McLellan, Alon Nashman and Geraint Wyn Davies.<br />
