To come to an estimate <strong>of</strong> fuel <strong>costs</strong> for the pelagic freezer trawler companies, specified<br />
information from three subsidiaries <strong>of</strong> Parlevliet en van der Plas can be used.<br />
Table 16 presents an overview <strong>of</strong> the fuel <strong>costs</strong> incurred by Kilda BV, Fladen Gronden BV<br />
<strong>and</strong> Vikingbank BV in 2007 <strong>and</strong> 2008.<br />

percentages <strong>of</strong> total <strong>costs</strong> as an approximation. A more detailed estimate would use the data<br />
mentioned above complemented with information about engines, yearly routes <strong>and</strong> fishing<br />
days etc.
