THANKSGIVING
FOOD DRIVE
The Thanksgiving Food Drive continues and will
run until Sunday, November 11, 2012.
Please use the “SVdP Thanksgiving Food Drive” envelope that was sent to you in your
September, October and November packet of envelopes to send in your cash or check donation
(payable to St.Vincent de Paul). SVdP will then use the donations to purchase turkeys and
food gift cards for the families we will be helping this Thanksgiving. If you prefer, you may
purchase a food gift card(s) at Meijer or Kroger’s in increments of $10, $20, $25, or $50.
With all the different dietary needs and special diets we have encountered in helping those less
fortunate, we believe giving them the ability to purchase their “holiday meal of choice” is the
best gift we can give them. The amount that each family will receive will depend on the family
size.
Please put your SVdP Thanksgiving Food Drive donations in the collection baskets during
Mass or drop them off in the office.
If you have any questions, feel free to call the parish office at 792-1190.
Adopt A Family For Christmas
This may seem early to be asking people and/or companies
about adopting a family for Christmas,
but the Giving Tree will be up November 10th.
Any family being adopted will not have gift tags put on
the Giving Tree.
They will go to the person/company adopting them.
Therefore, we must hear from you by Monday, November 5 th
so all the arrangements can be made.
Please call or stop by the parish office (792-1190) with all
the information.
