Starter and Motor: The Employees Independently operating groups work with the act4® Charts. Solutions are developed and evaluated and a plan of action is decided upon. A package including steps of action, a timetable and possibly budegts is the result of the work with act4® Charts. Well-informed and motivated employees now implement the action that they themselves have defined. Project controlling can be carried out either by an existing team or one specially put together for this purpose.
act4® is an instrument for the development of steps for a plan of action and its implementation. act4® develops motivation and identification with solutions and their trans lation into action. act4® guarantees that the know-how, experience and idea potential of a company’s employees will be used for problemsolving, for the development of innovative ideas and for the realization of objectives. With the comprehensive inclusion of employees, there is not only a greater acceptance of solutions, but also the satisfaction of having made a contribution to those solutions. act4® fully assumes that the objectives will be clear and the strategies well defined, or that guidelines will be provided. act4® does not develop objectives and strategies, but rather provides the necessary tools for a company to realize them internally. act4® takes employees seriously. The objectives of the company thus become the objectives of everyone who works for the company. The employees put their best efforts forward to achieve them. The Result The act4® method is based on concepts and models that have been put to good use elsewhere – mainly in the USA, but also in Eu rope. The methods employed in act4® have already proven themselves to be effective: – in the implementation of new strategies – in the adaptation of organization structures – in the realization of cost-reducing objectives (material usage, waste, time, procedures) – in the improvement of individual job security – in programs to raise the level of quality – in the solidifying and implementation of guiding principles – in the development and realization of new sales strategies – etc.
