Sehr verehrte Kolleginnen, sehr geehrte Kollegen,
sehr herzlich möchte ich Sie zu unserem zweiten
operativen Workshop „Multiviszeralchirurgie in der
Gynäkologie“ in Kooperation mit der ESGO nach
Kaiserswerth einladen.
Das begleitende Motto „Im Operationssaal – nicht
im Hörsaal“ betont unsere Idee der Veranstaltung.
Wir wollen dabei direkt im Operationssaal mit Ihnen
operative Behandlungsstrategien und Techniken im
Detail diskutieren, erläutern und durchführen.
Liveoperationen spiegeln die täglichen chirurgischen
Herausforderungen onkologischer Eingriffe besser
und ehrlicher wider, als ausgewählte und zusammengeschnittene
Videos oder „Kadaver“-Kurse dies können.
Um diesen engen Kontakt zu bieten, verzichten
wir auf Live-Übertragungen aus dem Operationssaal
und müssen daher die Teilnehmerzahl am
ersten Tag unseres Workshops eingrenzen.
Flankieren möchten wir den Workshop mit Seminaren
zu verschiedenen Themenbereichen rund um die
Thematik der gynäkologisch-onkologischen Chirurgie.
Auch hier steht der Praxisbezug ganz im Vordergrund.
Für Kolleginnen und Kollegen, die am ersten
Tag nicht teilnehmen können, bieten wir lohnenswerte
Seminare zu speziellen Aspekten der gynäkologisch-onkologischen
Chirurgie.
Natürlich sind wir im Rahmen unseres Workshops auf
die Patientinnen angewiesen, die zu diesem Zeitpunkt
operiert werden sollen. Wir denken aber dennoch, dass
es uns gelingen wird, hochinteressante Fälle, ähnlich
wie im letzten Jahr, mit Ihnen gemeinsam operieren
und besprechen zu können. Außerdem ist es uns gelungen,
wieder hochkarätige Experten am Operationstisch
mit in unseren Workshop einzubeziehen, so dass wir
auf einen ähnlichen Erfolg wie im letzten Jahr setzen.

Dear colleagues,
we would like to invite you to
our second surgical workshop
“multivisceral surgery in gynaecological
oncology” at Diakonie
Kaiserswerth (Düsseldorf)
endorsed by ESGO.
Our idea “operating theatre instead of lecture
room” emphasizes the concept of this workshop.
We want you to discuss in detail, to illustrate and
to accomplish different surgical therapeutic treatments
and techniques directly at the scene of surgery.
According to our opinion discussion about
surgery techniques should not be done on a round
table. Live surgical performance reflects the daily
challenges of oncology much better than selected
and composed videos or practicing on corpses. To
provide this close contact, we will not show live
broadcasts from the operation room. For that reason
the number of participants has to be limited
on the first day of our workshop.
Though the focus will be set on practical components,
tutorials about different fields of interest
concerning gynaecological surgery will complete
our workshop. So even if you can not manage to
participate on the first day it may be educational
and useful to join one of the tutorials.
Our special thanks to the patients volunteering on
that very day. Though we can not guarantee to provide
all aspects of gynaecological oncology, we are
quite certain to have the possibility to present cases
of highest interest for further discussions. We also
took the opportunity to invite well known specialists
of various fields. We are quite sure that the workshop
is going to be as successful as it was last year.
