3) IFU new accountant
The IFU office move made it necessary to find a new accountant, as IFU accounts were
kept by a member of UNIJUS staff. The chartered accountant, Mr Guillaume MAILLARD,
who is also in charge of the accounts of the Confederation of the European Yeast
Producers- COFALEC, was chosen because of his knowledge of associations’
accountancy. He has already had a first meeting with Mr Bernd OSPELT, Accounts
Auditor, at IFU new office on 20 th April 2012.
4) IFU newsletter
An effort was made to provide IFU members with a maximum of information in a
minimum of space. IFU newsletter is now forwarded four times a year. It informs IFU
members on internal IFU issues and IFU initiatives as well as on the activities of national
associations or individual members. It provides information on national or international
issues or important events for the worldwide juice industry. It also delivers statistics and
economic information.
5) Sale of methods of analysis and microbiological methods:
The total amount of revenues from sales of IFU methods for 2011 was €19 955.
6) Membership:
a) Leaving members
The following companies withdrew from IFU in the course of 2011:
Carrière GmbH (Germany) – Best s.r.l. (Italy).
In accordance with article 7§ 3 of the Articles of Association a letter jointly
signed by President and Treasurer was sent to 2011 debtors mentioning that
payment of the subscription fee must be received within one month (deadline
26 th May 2012) from the receipt of the letter.
The General Assembly of Delegates will have to ratify the exclusion at its
meeting on 20 th June 2012 in Maastricht.
