The environmental impact of our
consumption habits is forcing us to
completely reinvent the ways in which
we develop, produce, and consume objects
and live in our cities. The problem is a
opportunity to build a better future through
design. As technological progress continues to
accelerate, knowledge of the uses, properties,
and sources of new materials is essential.
This course introduces you to ecologically
sound materials for use in architecture,
interiors, and product design, including
fashion, graphics, vehicles, and packaging.
Reinforced with guest lecturers and field
trips. (2 credits) Limited to 16.
