Parking Permits<br />

Winter Session 2013<br />

STuDEnT SERVICES<br />

A valid <strong>UMBC</strong> parking permit is required to park on campus during<br />

<strong>winter</strong> session. The permit must be displayed on all vehicles<br />

parked in non-metered lots or on roadways Monday through<br />

Thursday from 7 a.m. through 7 p.m., and from 7 a.m. until<br />

3:30 p.m. on Friday. During <strong>winter</strong> session, the modified zone<br />

plan allows student permit holders to park in Zones A, B or C.<br />

Parking permits can only be issued to registered students.<br />

Current <strong>UMBC</strong> students should display the 2012/2013<br />

parking tag.<br />

Incoming (Spring 2013) and Visiting Students must register for<br />

a parking permit at my.umbc.edu/go/parking.<br />

• The permit cost is included in the special<br />

sessions fees.<br />

• Parking permits should be secured several weeks in<br />

advance, as they will not be processed during <strong>winter</strong><br />

break (December 21 through January 2).<br />

Housing<br />

Potomac Hall, several floors in Harbor Hall, and the apartments<br />

(including Walker Avenue) remain open in January. For questions<br />

about housing, contact the Residential Life Operations team at<br />

410-455-8832 or submit a help ticket.<br />

Textbooks<br />

Winter session textbooks are available in December at the<br />

<strong>UMBC</strong> Bookstore and online at bookstore.umbc.edu. Textbooks,<br />

in the same condition as purchased, can be returned for a full<br />

refund with a sales receipt until Tuesday, January 8. For more<br />

ID Cards<br />

The free photo ID provides instant access to campus services<br />

and facilities including: library services, cashless purchase for<br />

food, vending, copying and bookstore items. Call 443-612-2273<br />

or visit the Campus Card office located in the University Center<br />

Building.<br />

Student Activities<br />

During <strong>winter</strong> session, there’s still a lot happening on<br />

campus. Check out activities and resources for students at<br />
