Bryan M. Cassis opened The Cassis Law<br />

Jeffrey S. Rosenstiel <strong>of</strong> Frost Brown Todd<br />
LLC was reappointed to chair the Ohio State<br />
Bar Associati<strong>on</strong>’s banking, commercial and<br />
bankruptcy law committee. In his practice,<br />
Rosenstiel represents businesses and financial<br />
instituti<strong>on</strong>s as well as other creditors in the<br />
litigati<strong>on</strong> <strong>of</strong> debt instruments. Rosenstiel<br />
serves as an adjunct pr<strong>of</strong>essor at <strong>Chase</strong><br />
<strong>College</strong> <strong>of</strong> Law. Also, he served as president <strong>of</strong><br />
Leadership Northern Kentucky’s class <strong>of</strong> 2008.<br />
Kelly A. Schoening, a partner with the law<br />
firm <strong>of</strong> Dressman, Benzinger & LaVelle (DBL),<br />
was named a 2008 Outstanding Woman <strong>of</strong><br />
Northern Kentucky. The award was established<br />
in 1984 to h<strong>on</strong>or women serving the Northern<br />
Kentucky community who exemplify notable<br />
achievement, service to their pr<strong>of</strong>essi<strong>on</strong> or<br />
community, and the qualities <strong>of</strong> integrity,<br />
perseverance and leadership.<br />

Thomas W. Land<strong>on</strong> was promoted to vice<br />
president at Fifth Third Bank. He serves<br />
as a senior trust <strong>of</strong>ficer, and in the estate<br />
settlement department he is resp<strong>on</strong>sible for<br />
legal analysis <strong>of</strong> estate administrati<strong>on</strong> issues,<br />
preparati<strong>on</strong> <strong>of</strong> court documents, tax returns<br />
and property divisi<strong>on</strong>. He resides in Uni<strong>on</strong><br />
Township with his wife and their three children.<br />

Linda Averbeck was h<strong>on</strong>ored by the<br />
Cincinnati Business Courier as part <strong>of</strong> the 2008<br />
Forty Under 40 class. Averbeck is a senior<br />
attorney in the Internal Revenue Service’s<br />
Office <strong>of</strong> Chief Counsel, where for 10 years she<br />
has provided assistance to IRS examiners.<br />
Brian R. Redden joined Beckman Weil<br />
Shepards<strong>on</strong> LLC as a member. Redden serves<br />
clients in the areas <strong>of</strong> general business, civil,<br />
and pers<strong>on</strong>al litigati<strong>on</strong>, including employment<br />
discriminati<strong>on</strong>, trade secret, and n<strong>on</strong>-compete<br />
litigati<strong>on</strong>, commercial and pers<strong>on</strong>al real estate<br />
litigati<strong>on</strong>, and c<strong>on</strong>structi<strong>on</strong> law. In additi<strong>on</strong>,<br />
he has experience in representing pr<strong>of</strong>essi<strong>on</strong>al<br />
athletes in the negotiati<strong>on</strong> and enforcement<br />
<strong>of</strong> player and endorsement c<strong>on</strong>tracts and has<br />
assisted a number <strong>of</strong> pr<strong>of</strong>essi<strong>on</strong>al athletes<br />
in the creati<strong>on</strong> and operati<strong>on</strong> <strong>of</strong> charitable<br />

William R. Adkins, with <strong>of</strong>fices in<br />
Williamstown, Ky., received the 2008 Nick<br />
<strong>of</strong> Time Award from the Northern Kentucky<br />
Volunteer Lawyers program for accepting<br />
numerous referrals, <strong>of</strong>ten <strong>on</strong> short notice, to<br />
represent legal aid clients at court hearings.<br />

Jane Ann Pancake, a partner with Ferreri<br />
& Fogle, PLLC, is managing its Huntingt<strong>on</strong>,<br />
W.Va., <strong>of</strong>fice. Pancake c<strong>on</strong>centrates her<br />
practice in workers’ compensati<strong>on</strong> defense.<br />

Mary P. Burns, trust counsel at Johns<strong>on</strong> Trust<br />
Company, was elected to the Cincinnati Estate<br />
Planning Council board <strong>of</strong> trustees. Burns is<br />
also currently president <strong>of</strong> the Estate Planning<br />
Council <strong>of</strong> Northern Kentucky.<br />
Debbie L. Davis, with <strong>of</strong>fices in Covingt<strong>on</strong>,<br />
Ky., received the 2008 Distinguished <str<strong>on</strong>g>New</str<strong>on</strong>g><br />
