A thank you was offered to these people for their input over the year. Terri noted
how much she had enjoyed the role over the past 4 years.

2) Over the past year we have consolidated our position as an active and innovative
Regional Group. At the last AGM there were 194 APS members on the Peninsula.
Today there are 190 paid up members.
3) KEY ACHIEVMENTS:
� The purchase of both the laptop and more recently the data projector has been
of benefit to not only this group in terms of our training activities but also
individual members in providing professional presentations to their customers.
� We have been keeping the website up to date as much as possible. Still
ironing out a few wrinkles there however we encourage all members to go to
the Branch page and pencil in key dates as a way of being aware that events
are coming up. Detail on events will be sent out as soon as it can. The dates
are there from the beginning of the year. We have also decided to send out a
hard copy of the calendar of events at the beginning of next year. This will be
laminated so it can be placed in a diary and moved around as events occur.
� The weekend away this year was a relaxing couple of days in Shoreham.
Some excellent skills sharing, presentations and socializing led to an
enjoyable time for all.
� Psychology awareness week saw us at Mornington Centra again and while we
were able to talk informally with quite a few people this year as we gave out
information sheets, pens we will be looking at using our technical equipment
to present a data projection presentation so that people can read about the
benefits of psychology without having to brave asking a question.
� Professional Development Activities:
Lyn Datnow presented “Successful Family Therapy Strategies” –
good feedback
Information sharing with Community Agencies – well attended and
informative. There were several community agencies present.

St 4 th March Di and Malenka presented and interesting seminar with a focus on
Use of hands on Strategies with a number of Case Studies.
Val O’Brien’s session on using drawing in therapy was fascinating and enjoyed
by those of us that attended.
Dr Greg Coman allowed us insight addictive disorders in hi “No more bets!”
workshop and some useful strategies to use with clients.

Kaye Nolan – full Membership of APS
Di McGreal – completing her PhD.
Ruth Turnbull – becoming a full member
APS MEETINGS ATTENDED:
Terri was pleased to have had the opportunity to attend DRBO meetings. She noted the
commitment and dedication of Directors and staff of the APS to enhance the profile,
standards and work opportunities for Psychologists in Australia and was grateful for the
guidance, direction and assistance offered to our group from Head Office.
FUTURE GOALS:
Continue to encourage involvement and participation.
Raise the profile of Psychologists in the community and workplace.
The CD Directory is still in the pipeline – for distribution to GP’s.

Support head office in national initiatives.

4) GENERAL BUSINESS
The Christmas Celebration this year will be a progressive dinner (lunch) with hiring a bus
and private cars. Travelling to three wineries. Saturday 25 th November.
August 24 th - 25 th Weekend away – at the Brahma Kumaris. A Stress free weekend. See
Terri or Di to book in.
