Socialites Meeting -

Altar Rosary Society News
Our next scheduled meeting will be held on
Thursday, May 19th, at 5 p.m. Please note
the time change. After the crowning of Mary
and the Rosary we will meet at the Steak &
Sundae restaurant for our end-of-year dinner.
Also, the Altar Rosary Society will have a Bake Sale
after all the Masses during the weekend of May 21-
22. Please bake cookies. Cookie donations from
other parish members are also welcomed for the sale.
St. Margaret’s Summerfest
June 5, 2011 1 pm- 6 pm
This year’s theme: “Through the Years”.
Come join us as we journey through the
years and share in the great memories
St.Margaret’s has brought us. We will be digging up
the Time Capsule from the 6 th grade Class of 1986 and
burying a new one for the St. Margaret’s Community to
share in. All of your favorites will be there as well: Children’s
Games, Bounce House, Merchandise Wheel
and more! Watch for the raffle tickets to hit your mailbox
in May with a chance to win NY Yankee’s box
seats with overnight hotel accommodations and spending
$$! All of this cannot happen without the support of

to the Food Pantry. We find our pantry shelves could
use instant potatoes, tuna and canned meat. Your generosity

has only a few services thus far, I have used it several
times for referrals. Please call the Human Development
Office, 455-5791 ext.118 to have your service

file to refer to when someone is seeking a service.
Prayer Shawl Ministry - Our prayer shawl ministry
members continue to offer their talents by creating
prayer shawls or lap robes to be blessed, and given to
those in need of comfort. Parishioners visiting someone
who could use the warmth and prayers of our parish
family are invited to give the gift of a blessed prayer
shawl. Shawls are available in the HD office, 455-5791,
ext 118, or e-mail stmargarethd@yahoo.com for more
information.
Reminder: The “Pew Memorial Tree” is still growing.
The beautiful engraved leaves accompany a memorial
gift of $250. If you are interested in memorializing a
loved one or purchasing a leaf in thanksgiving to be a
permanent part of the church, please call the Human
Development Office.

PARISH COUNCIL
Over 1,750 votes have been counted and the results
are in!
Congratulations to our newly elected members of St.
Margaret’s Parish Council: Debbie Filsoi, John Iannuzzi
and Marie Tricarico.
We are very appreciative of Sherry Plumridge who was
also nominated. All candidates received a great number
of votes and we are grateful to everyone who took
time to participate in the elections. We would like to
thank Sheila Stone whose term on the Council will be
ending. Thanks Sheila for your years of service. We
are most grateful.

Congratulations to Sister Adelbert
Durant who is celebrating her 50th
Anniversary as a Sister of St. Francis.
If you are ever at St. Joseph’s Hospital visiting a
loved one, you may bump into Sister Adelbert in the
elevator or halls. Sister gives her love and compassion
to all those she meets. God bless you, Sister
Adelbert! We wish you much happiness and thank
you for your kindness to all of us here at St. Margaret’s.

Wong who is celebrating her 60th
Anniversary as a Sister of St. Francis.
Sister taught in our school for
many years and continues to give of herself, singing at
Church upon special request, baking for Fish Frys,
