Changing Lives – One Patient at a time
Replenishing the Financial Assistance Fund remains the
highest priority for the Betty Ford Center Foundation.
It was Mrs. Ford’s personal mission to keep the Center
accessible to the greatest number of families. Without
this extra support, many people could not afford treatment
for addiction to alcohol and other drugs.
The Financial Assistance Fund at the Center provides
approximately $ 3 million annually in scholarships to
patients and family members. Each year, that means
that hundreds of families have access to programs of
hope and healing from the disease of addiction.
inPatient treatment
Designed for adults 18 and over seeking help for alcohol
and/or other drug addiction, the Inpatient Program provides
detoxification and primary treatment.

Designed for adults 18 and over seeking help for alcohol
and/or other drug addiction, the RDT Program provides
detoxification, primary treatment and extended care.

LiCensed ProfessionaLs
treatment
Specialized treatment for those individuals who have
specific licensure requirements to consider when seeking
treatment for alcohol and/or other drug dependency.
These professionals may include, but are not limited to,
physicians, nurses, pilots, judges, and attorneys.

The Young Adult Track provides addiction treatment for
18 to 25-year-old men and women who are not financially
independent of their families.

work of Betty Ford Center, our first suggestion is to

the financial need to receive treatment.

Your charitable gift in any amount is truly welcomed. Every donation makes a difference to patients
and families in need. Full or partial scholarships are available for the following programs:
Pain management
The Pain Management Track serves chronic pain sufferers
who, as a consequence, have developed addictive
disease. The ultimate goal of the Pain Management
Track is to reduce patients’ chronic pain and improve
their ability to function and experience good mental
health.

outPatient treatment
The Intensive Outpatient Program is designed for individuals
18 years and older seeking primary treatment for
alcoholism and/or other drug addiction. This program
provides assessment and primary treatment services.

“It is a duty to give what you can when you can, no
matter how rich or poor you may be. At least that
is true for me. I could never give back as much as
I was given but I look at it this way, lots of smaller
donations can add up. I know that the demand
for assistance must be huge right now. As someone
who was able to get treatment at Betty Ford
Center because of the Financial Assistance
Fund, I feel a responsibility to donate as much
and as often as I can. It is a pleasure and joy
to do so! The payback: I KNOW that every dollar
is being used to help save a life, and, if I can
help that in some small way, I am GRATEFUL to be
