Valenciaport, primer gran operador portuario europeo en obtener la ISO 28000
La Autoridad Portuaria de Valencia recibió a mediados de julio de manos de
Roque Giner, director de la delegación de Aenor en la Comunidad Valenciana,
la certificación UNE-ISO 28000, que acredita que la APV cumple los
requerimientos de la norma ante las organizaciones a las que presta servicios,
garantizando el incremento real en la protección de la cadena logística dentro
de su ámbito de competencia. El Puerto de Valencia se convirtió en el primer
gran operador portuario europeo que obtenía la certificación.
El presidente de la APV, Rafael Aznar, señaló la importancia de esta
certificación que responde a la “política de anticipación a las exigencias del
mercado y a la sociedad en su conjunto” y que es la muestra de que “se
puede hacer compatible la sensibilidad comercial, la utilidad a la economía
real con la seguridad y el rigor en la gestión”.

be certified under the ISO 28000 standard
In mid July, the Port Authority of Valencia was awarded ISO 28000 certification. The certificate was presented to the PAV by Roque Giner, Director of the Valencian
Region's AENOR office. This achievement demonstrates to customers that the PAV complies with the standard's requirements and provides increased guarantees
for the logistics chain within its area of competence. The Port of Valencia was the first major European port operator to be certified under the ISO 28000 standard.
The PAV Chairman, Rafael Aznar, highlighted the importance of this achievement which responds to the “policy to foresee and cater for market demands and those
of society”. It is also proof that “business awareness and usefulness to the real economy are compatible with security and strict management principles”.
La APV bonificará el respeto al medio ambiente de los operadores portuarios
El Consejo de Administración de la Autoridad Portuaria de Valencia, en su sesión celebrada en julio, acordó dar un nuevo paso adelante en su política medioambiental
aprobando un modelo de convenio de buenas prácticas según el cual se bonificarán las tasas de aquellos operadores portuarios que desarrollen su actividad de
forma respetuosa con el medio ambiente.
Tal y como explicó el presidente de la APV, Rafael Aznar, el objetivo “es incentivar las mejores prácticas medioambientales dentro de la política de desarrollo sostenible
que desde hace más de una década aplican tanto la APV, como el resto de la Comunidad Portuaria”.
The PAV set to offer rebates to port operators for good environmental practice
The Port Authority of Valencia's Board of Directors agreed to take another step forward in its environmental policy at its July meeting. The board approved
a best practice agreement model in which rebates will be applied to the charges paid by port operators who incorporate good environmental practice into
their operations.
The PAV Chairman, Rafael Aznar, explained that the aim is “to encourage best environmental practice as part of the sustainable development policy which
both the PAV and the rest of the port community have been implementing for over a decade”.
La FVET otorga a Rafael Aznar el Premio Andrés Mira al
Transporte y la Logística
La Federación Valenciana de Empresarios del Transporte (FVET) entregó el
Premio Andrés Mira al Transporte y la Logística 2011, máximo galardón de la
Federación, a Rafael Aznar, presidente de la APV, “por sus méritos y éxitos en
la puesta en primera línea internacional del Puerto de Valencia”.

The Valencian Transport Company Federation (FVET) presented the PAV
Chairman, Rafael Aznar, with the 2011 Andrés Mira Transport and Logistics
Award “for his efforts and achievements in making the Port of Valencia
a major international player in the shipping industry”.
La sala Pacífico de la APV acogió la entrega oficial de la ISO 28000 y contó con los
representantes de Aenor y de la empresa consultora S2.

APV y la Universidad Politécnica de Valencia renuevan la Cátedra Puerto de Valencia
El rector de la Universidad Politécnica de Valencia, Juan Juliá, y el presidente de la Autoridad Portuaria de Valencia (APV), Rafael Aznar, renovaron a finales de julio
el convenio de colaboración de la Cátedra Puerto de Valencia: Planificación Gestión y Desarrollo Sostenible de los Puertos, creada en 2009. El acuerdo rubricado
permitirá dar continuidad a las actividades de la Cátedra cuya finalidad es impulsar la formación, investigación e innovación en las áreas de planificación, gestión y
desarrollo sostenible portuario.
The PAV and the Universidad Politécnica de Valencia renew the Port of Valencia Chair
At the end of July, the Universidad Politécnica de Valencia's Vice-Chancellor, Juan Juliá, and the Port Authority of Valencia (PAV) Chairman, Rafael Aznar,
renewed the cooperation agreement for the Port of Valencia Chair in Port Planning, Management and Sustainable Development, created in 2009. The
agreement signed gives continuity to the Chair's activities, whose objective is to encourage training, research and innovation in the areas of port planning,
management and sustainable development.
