Castejón: heredero de
una ilustre saga familiar
dedicada al teatro musical
principalmente. Un Madrid
castizo con resonancias
de Arniches y Galdós, con
sabor a romería, a verbena,
a barrio echado a la calle.
Un Madrid donde el actor
Juan Manuel Cifuentes,
con unas vivencias de ayer
que bien pudieran ocurrir
hoy, nos guía por algunas
de las páginas musicales
más emblemáticas de lo
que conforma la banda
sonora de nuestra ciudad.
Acompañado de un brillante
manojo de voces líricas, donde brillará la despedida
de los escenarios del tenor y actor Enrique del
Portal.
Abróchense sus cinturones porque zarpamos por
las olas del género chico para reír, llorar, bailar y
gozar vertiginosamente de un sinfín de melodías y
letras. Así empiezan nuestras fiestas de San Isidro,
con lo más propio y universal que tenemos, con la
zarzuela.

by Jesús Castejón: the heir
of a famous family, mainly
devoted to musical theatre. A
typical Madrid with touches
of Arniches and Galdós, with
a flavour of religious festivals,
street parties, of everyone
meeting up in the street.
A Madrid where the actor
Juan Manuel Cifuentes, tells
us about some experiences
from yesterday that could
easily occur today, guiding
us through some of the most
emblematic musical scores
that form the soundtrack
of our city. Accompanied by
a brilliant group of lyrical
voices, where tenor and
actor, Enrique del Portal will shine out during his
farewell to the stage.
Fasten your seat belts because we are about to sail
the waves of the chico genre to laugh, cry, dance and
dramatically enjoy endless tunes and lyrics. This is
how we are starting off our San Isidro festivals,
with what is, at one and the same time, the most
personal and also the most universal that we have:
the zarzuela or Spanish operetta.
