What is the FCM Education Department and how does it
perform its task in schools.
Presented by the FCM Education Department on 20 April at
the A Coruña Museum of Fine Arts, on the occasion of the
Foro de inmersión en educación artística e museos [Forum on
immersion in artistic education and museums] organised by
the regional government of Galicia.
Changes in Lanzarote society with the advent of tourism.
Delivered on 27 April for the Haría Secondary School course
on tourism.
The value of Lanzarote’s natural and cultural landscape.
This lecture was delivered on 30 April as part of the
gardening course in the Teguise Workshop-School.
The crisis of the “Manrique model”.
Delivered on 15 May for students and teachers participating in
the University of Seville’s course – designed by Javier
Castroviejo and co-ordinated by Ramón Gil - on nature
conservation and management, as well as for Central and
South American students.
Organised on 4 June for a group of youngsters from the
Lanzarote Island Council’s emergency shelter facility.

Forty architecture professors and students from the University
of Florence participated in this visit on 2 December.
Educational programmes run by the Fundación César
Manrique Education Dept.
Conducted at the institution’s headquarters on 14 December
and attended by 37 members of the Canary Island School
Council.
Workshop on the territorial management model proposed by
César Manrique and its relationship with traditional
architecture in Lanzarote.
This workshop was organised for students taking a subject
known as the natural environment on the Canary Islands,
delivered at the César Manrique Secondary School.
