comprises with six young minds. New
ideas are shared everyday when the
community gathers for their usual
activities. Everybody knows very well
that the mission here is nothing but
managing the school without sweeping
away the Christian values amidst the
super majority of non Christian students.
Third term of our School started on 2 nd January
with a renewed spirit expecting to work hard in
order to get good result in the forth coming final
examinations. As usual we had different meetings
with the parents before finishing the academic
year and almost all of them had shared their joy
seeing the fast growth of our School. The month
of February arrived with a warning to all the Plus
Two students in particular that the Final Public
Examinations are at their door steps and make
necessary final touch to what they had been
revising for months.
On 17 th of February our school witnessed an
emotional ceremony of students-master
relationship still existing in this region before
they appear for their final examinations. All
Plus Two students gathered in our Meditation
hall and organized a common prayer in which
all the teachers and fathers of the community
were asked to bless the students in such a way
that while each student approaching the
teachers and fathers one by one with a bowed
head, the teachers and fathers in turn blessing
them placing their hands on their head and
finally the students bending down totally
reaching the tip of their both hands to the feet
of their teachers and fathers so as to mark a
great reverence to the masters in whom they
see the presence of God himself.
We had two exquisite visitors in February: Fr.
Agustin Perez and Fr. Pascual Fernandez from
Spain. They were offered a warm welcome by our
community members with the students and they
in turn greeted our students and staff in the
common students’ assembly. On the way back to
Aluva, they took a beautiful mountain range way
which goes through a dense forest where a lot of
wild elephants are commonly seen.

Some of our students got First prizes in Yoga
competitions conducted state wise by the
educational authorities and special
congratulations goes to Fr. Jaison
Nedumparambil, the dean of studies of
Primary and Kindergarten who had encouraged
our students well to participate in such
competitions. Our High school students
participated in Karate Competitions in state
wise and bagged a lot of awards. Thanks to Fr.
Binu Vackalackal, the dean of studies of High
school and Higher secondary section, who had
encouraged them time to time.
Plus two students had started their
examinations a little bit earlier whereas the
Tenth standard students had to wait till the last
week of March to begin their Public
examination. As our School is not a centre for
public examinations, we have to take our
students to another school where such facility
is granted by the Government.
Our community House construction is going on
smoothly and probably we could inaugurate by
the end of May or in June.
THALAPUZHA
Our fathers working in Thalapuzha, Wayanad
also had a busy three months from January to
March. St. Thomas parish which is taken care of
by the community in the person of Fr. John
Bosco Koottuthara had celebrated its parish
feast in the month of January with great
devotion and preparation. And the construction
work of the shrine is going on well with the full
support of the parishioners.
