QC1 ESR
Control de referencia de sangre total
Velocidad de Sedimentación Globular
FUNDAMENTO
ALMACENAMIENTO Y ESTABILIDAD
Conservar a 18-30ºC.
medidas y rangos aceptables.
CAUSAS DE ERROR
- Material sucio (no re-usar material desechable).
- Temperaturas inferiores a 18ºC dan resultados inferiores.
QC1 ESR
Whole blood reference control
Erythrocyte Sedimentation Rate
PRINCIPLE
QC1 ERS, is a whole blood reference control to monitor patient
erythrocyte sedimentation rate (ESR) procedures on Linear ERS
Instruments.
Level 1 Normal
Level 2 Abnormal
COMPOSITION
Stabilized human red cells suspended in
a buffer. Contains biocides.
Dispensed in plastic tubes.
Level 1 green cap, Level 2 red cap.
Precautions: Avoid any contact with skin or mucous membranes.
The human constituents have tested negative for antibodies to
Human Immunodeficiency Virus (HIV), Hepatitis B surface Antigen
(HBsAg) and Hepatitis C Virus (HCV). Handle as potentially
infectious.
STORAGE AND STABILITY
Store at 18-30ºC. Stable up to the expiration date stated on
the label. Do not freeze. Do not expose to excessive heat.
Avoid prolonged exposure of opened tubes to light.
QC1 ERS is ready-to-use.
PREPARATION
PROCEDURE
QC1 ERS product should be treated and tested as the patient
specimens and run in accordance with the instructions
accompanying the instrument.
Mix the tube by using a mixing device or manually by complete
inversion. Mixing time should be between 2 and 5 minutes
depending upon the standing time of the tubes prior testing. Avoid
foaming.
EXPECTED VALUES
The values printed in this insert were derived from replicates with
Linear Chemicals ERS Instruments. And are specific for this lot of
product. Individual laboratory means should fall within the
corresponding acceptable range, however, laboratory means may
vary from the listed values during his life. Variations over time and
between laboratories may be caused by differences in laboratory
techniques and instrumentation calibrating methods.
It is recommended that each laboratory establish its own means
and acceptable ranges.
CAUSES OF ERROR
- Dirty material (not re-use disposable material).
- Hemolysed samples.
- An excess of anticoagulant causes a reduction of the value..
- Tube inclination causes an increase of the value.
- Bubbles in sample.
- Inferior Temperatures to 18ºC give inferior results.
(see Manley table).
- Incomplete mixing.
LIMITATIONS OF THE PRODUCT
QC1 ERS control is not designed to be used as a control for any
hematology procedures other than Erythrocyte Sedimentation Rate.
