This school would eventually become independentfrom the museum in the year 1979, as a result of theestablishment of Fundação Catarinense de Cultura (SantaCatarina Cultural Foundation).La necesidad de la entrega del inmueble llevó a la transferenciadel MASC para otro local.La nueva morada era una casa localizada en la calle TenenteSilveira, centro de Florianópolis. El Museo quedariasediado allí entre enero de 1977 y marzo de 1979.A pesar de las dificultades del local, la Escuelita de Artemantuvo sus actividades, apresentando su XVII exposiciónen la ciudad de Itajaí/SC en el año de 1977. Esta terminariasiendo separada del Museo con la creación de la FundaciónCatarinense de Cultura en 1979.
