So the brotherswere put into their busy life assoon as they reopened theirphilosophical and theologicalstudies. The brothers gotthemselves focused on theirstudies straightway after theirChristmas and New Yearcelebrations as they were slowlydrawing near to their annualexaminations in February andMarch. Their classes were overby the middle of February whichwas followed by a study leave for thepreparation of annual exam. The brothers wentfor a pilgrimage to St. Sebastine’s Basilica,Arthumkal on 20 th January 2011. It was quiet aprayerful experience for all of them to visit theBasilica and to spent time in the Basilica and inthe sea shore near to the Basilica.On January 26 th Delegation has arranged agathering of both Major and Minor seminarybrothers at Edacochin. Morning session wasmainly dedicated to inculcate in the minds ofthe brothers the uniqueness of the Augustinianidentity. It was done through a class taken byFr. Robert Roy. And the afternoon session dealtwith group discussion regarding the same andsome games. On the 17 th of February Fr. JavierAntolin Sanchez, the Vicar Provincial and Bro.Adolfo Guerra, the Provincial Economo came toIndia for the 2 nd visit of renewal. And on thesame day they headed towards to thecommunity of Pollachi, which is 150 Km awayfrom Aluva to start the visit of renewal in thatcommunity. And they started the visit at Aluvafrom 27 th February and concluded on 3 rd March.Their presence added a kind of sweetness andhappiness to the Delegation. And on 9 th MachDelegation arranged a half day Recollectionfor all the friars of our Delegation.This year too is marked with the interest of thebrothers in cultivation as they cultivated moreSeminaristas y Comunidad religiosa de Edacochínthan 350 Kg of vegetables. So we should give abig applause to their commitment to theseminary. The brothers finished their annualexams of both philosophy and theology by theend of March but the Degree students are stillwaiting for their University exams and some ofthe students had gone for their summerholidays.Mary Queen of Help of Christians Church atAluva also had a few programs to make us busyover the last three months. A week long feastin honor of Our Lady and St. Sebastian in earlydays of January was the highlight of allprograms at Mariyapuram Church. Well knownpreachers of Diocese of Verapoly and of OurOrder provided thought provoking homiliesduring the course of festal celebrations. Aretreat was conducted for the parishioners inpreparation for celebrating the great mysteriesof Christ’s passion death and resurrection withdue faith and devotion.EdacochinThe Minor Seminarians came back after theChristmas Vacation and their return early inJanuary 2013 marked the beginning of aprosperous New Year. The aspirants reallylooked energetic after their vacation. Thebrothers were put into their busy life as soon asthey reopened their Academic studies. During
