Thebusiness covered the review ofactivities in 2005, plans for 2006,the finances and theestablishment of new Tables onthe other Coasts, and on relationswith Tables in foreign waters. The Grand Frère outlined for theinvités the history and thepurpose of the Frères de la CÛte.The dinner followed, which wasprepared by the award-winningchef Tim O’Sullivan and whichwas exceptional. For my part thegrilled Conamara Oysters on abed of spinach with a bearnaisesauce, followed by the roast rackof Conamara Lamb was the best. The meal led on to toasts to thePresident of Ireland, the Frères dela CÛte, our guests and in specialinstance to Dave Fitzgerald “Pepele Moko”, a pioneer of sailing inthe West of Ireland. All hailed“Orza” loud and clear. The mealended, after dessert and coffee, with a few songs including “TheWest’s Awake” and “Le 31 duMois D’Août”.The assembly then adjourned tothe bar for some digestifs and theoccasional song.Enough said.John CoyleVigie InternationaleMALTAFinally, after two years of"prescribed" waiting as set by the"manual" the MalteseBrotherhood came on board on 8October 2005.
