Remove the height reduction cushion (J) if you find thechild’s shoulders are above the highest set of slots in the seat back.To remove the shoulder strap pass the metal plate on the back of the seat through thewindow from back to front (6) (7). Reverse this process to refit the shoulder strap in the nextslot selected for the size of your child (8). Ensure the metal plate is through fully and lays flatagainst the seat back (9).To restore harness to the seat for Group1, Check the harness for any damage or deterioration.Refer to the section “Harness setting and adjustm<strong>en</strong>t” also “Removing the Harness” andfollow the directions to set and fit the harness. If in doubt contact the manufacture for adviceor replacem<strong>en</strong>t.Harness T<strong>en</strong>sion AdjustingTight<strong>en</strong> the harness: Pull firmly on the loose <strong>en</strong>d strap below the adjuster on the shoulderstrap; it is not necessary to press on the adjuster lock (10).Loos<strong>en</strong> the harness: Press on the adjuster button on the lower edge shoulder strap adjusterand pull on the lower shoulder strap simultaneously (11).Adjusting the HeadrestThe headrest can be moved up or down through a series of stop positions. To do this holdfirmly on the top of the backrest and pull or push on the headrest until it moves into therequired stop position to suit the size of your child.Installation of your Car SeatThe seat can be used for the younger child 9 months to 4 years securing the child with theharness, or for the older child 3 years to 12 years securing the child with the adult seat belt.Note that your car seat is designed to fit only with a 3 point lap and diagonal seat belt andmust not at any time be fitted using only a 2 point lap belt (1).Fitting the Car Seat wh<strong>en</strong> using the Harness Group 1Group 1, from 9kg to 18 kg (from approximately 9 months to 4 years).For Group 2-3, from 15 to 36 kg (from approximately 3 to 12 years), go to the section“fitting the car seat with using the adult seat belt only”.Important! Before installing the car seat check that the buckle of the adult seat belt is notpositioned so that it reaches under the armrest of the car seat. If this is the case, try anotherseat or contact our customer service departm<strong>en</strong>t for advice.Before fitting your car seat in the vehicle, first check the harness is set to the size of yourchild. To do this refer to “Harness Setting and Adjustm<strong>en</strong>t”. Check that the headrest is inthe lowest position. See “adjusting the headrest”.5GB - User guide
