LA GESTIÓN ACTUAL DE LOS RESIDUOS SÓLIDOS INERTESSe desconoce el destino final de la mayoría de los residuos inertes generadosen la Comunidad Valenciana. Parte de estos residuos se están utilizando para elrelleno de huecos, terraplenes, etc., en obras de urbanización, obras públicas,transformaciones agrícolas, etc. Otra parte se utiliza en rellenos de obras portuarias;pero aún, una parte sustancial es vertida clandestinamente en lugares de dominiopúblico, bordes de caminos, barrancos, etc.En la provincia de Castellón existe, únicamente, un vertedero de inertes en elmunicipio de Alcora, de titularidad privada (CONTENIR S.L.). En la provincia deValencia existen diez vertederos para este tipo de residuos, la Diputación es titular ygestiona a través de GIRSA los vertederos de Sagunto, Olocau, Pedralba, Losa delObispo y Guadassuar; el Ayuntamiento de Oliva dispone de un vertedero en estemunicipio; en Sagunto y Paterna existen, a su vez, dos vertederos de titularidadprivada, este último recibe los residuos de la ciudad de Valencia; finalmente, existendos vertederos más en Torrent. En la provincia de Alicante, existen tres vertederosde inertes; los de Petrer y Benidorm son de titularidad municipal y el de Aspe eltitular y gestor es VAERSA.R.S.I.
