It took us a few days to work out the topic of our project. At first we wanted
to analyze how video games affect the behavior of children between the ages
of 10 and 18, but we ended up with water contamination. The teacher gave
us the first deadline, but with so much homework to do we couldn’t focus
properly on the project. The solution was very simple, we divided the work
we had to do, so each one of us could do their part and then we joined it all
together. That was the first mistake.
The second deadline was a complete disaster. One of us showed no interest
in the project, and the remaining two had no idea what we had to do. A few
days before the due date we realized that we had only 4 days to do a month’s
worth of work. The outcome, together, we tried to think of a quick solution.
The best way of getting many people in touch to give all the information was
through social media. We decided on using video chat. Meanwhile one of us
was drawing the sketch of the video, the other two were giving ideas to make
sure that the video really transmitted the message we wanted to give. That
was the first and the last time we worked as a team.
In those 4 days, I worked on making the video and Mariana made a brochure
(go to appendix 1) to post around the school. When I had finished, I showed
her the video, but she wanted to put music on it so I left it in her hands. The
4 days were over, she figured out how to put music on it 3 weeks later. She
never told me what happened with the brochure so I guess nothing could
be done. I spoke to the teacher in charge of the information posted in the
screens around the school to make the video public, but because of different
problems we couldn’t do that either.
