Chemo patients experiencing
TREAT ORAL PAIN
DURING
CHEMOTHERAPY
Oral pain can be extremely debilitating for anyone, but it’s an especially
common problem for people going through chemotherapy. Unfortunately,
this is not the topic of much conversation, and less awareness has translated
to fewer treatments available from pharmaceutical companies and
others, according to Andy Gritti, executive vice president of Rowpar
Pharmaceuticals.
Gritti has spoken with oncology nurses regarding oral sensitivity and
its impact on patients. He says big pharma and health care practitioners
need to develop more progressive treatments for this specific side effect.
Rowpar’s line of CloSYS dental products—particularly its unflavored,
alcohol-free oral health rinse—are often distributed to help chemotherapy
patients experiencing mouth sores as a result of their treatment.
