La Norma EN-1149-5 especifica los requisitos electrostáticos y de diseño que debe<br />
t<strong>en</strong>er la ropa de protección antiestática, para evitar la formación de chispas que puedan<br />
provocar un inc<strong>en</strong>dio. Los requisitos pued<strong>en</strong> no ser sufici<strong>en</strong>tes <strong>en</strong> atmósferas<br />
<strong>en</strong>riquecidas con oxíg<strong>en</strong>o. Esta norma no es aplicable fr<strong>en</strong>te a t<strong>en</strong>siones eléctricas.<br />
ELECTROSTATIC CLOTHING PROPERTIES. EN 1149-5<br />
The Standard EN-1149-5 specifies a set of requirem<strong>en</strong>ts and test methods to measure<br />
protection against static electricity or change decay. Electrostatic resistance is required<br />
wh<strong>en</strong> the worker is exposed to <strong>en</strong>vironm<strong>en</strong>ts where a spark could cause explosions or<br />
ignite fires (e.g. petrol stations, petrol tanker drivers, flour mills, rooms storing cleaning<br />
products, etc). Garm<strong>en</strong>ts according to this Standard do not offer protection from mains<br />
voltages.<br />
