What products or services does your company deliver and to what<br />
kind(s) of NCREs?<br />
Jinko Solar is the largest photovoltaic modules’ manufacturer worldwide,<br />
offering solar modules for large-scale projects as well as for residential,<br />
commercial and industrial facilities.<br />
Which have been the latest new services or changes introduced by your<br />
Company?<br />
We are continuously innovating by bringing to the market the best<br />
technology in photovoltaic modules. At present, half-cell or bifacial<br />
modules have had the greatest acceptance due to the savings in<br />
installation and increased generation.<br />
What are the main projects -or themes- you have been recently working<br />
on concerning NCRE or the environment? In case they are generation<br />
plants, where are the located and which are their main characteristics?<br />
Jinko Solar has around 800 MW operating in Chile, and more than 2.5<br />
GW operating in Latin America, totaling over 50% of market share, and<br />
more than 200 MW assured to be installed in Chile during 2019. It is the<br />
number one solar panel manufacturer worldwide in sales volume, in<br />
addition to leading the Tier1 list of the best manufacturers. It works with<br />
the highest quality standards and has one of the most important I&D<br />
departments in the industry, which allows it to be always at the forefront<br />
in technology improvements.<br />
Which elements characterize and/or distinguish your company?<br />
Jinko Solar is distinguished for providing high-quality modules and a<br />
customized service according to each of our clients’ requirements. We<br />
have support in every country where we operate, which allows us to<br />
adapt to each zone’s needs.<br />
How important is NCRE participation in the Chilean electric system?<br />
NCRE participation not only makes the system more competitive, but<br />
also enables a less centralized and more sustainable one.<br />
Why would you recommend being an <strong>ACERA</strong> member?<br />
Being an <strong>ACERA</strong> member gives access to updated information on what<br />
is going on in the industry. It also allows establishing networking with<br />
other member companies through the different events organized by the<br />

Daniel is the General Manager of SMA South America SpA, a Regiona<br />
Subsidiary of SMA Solar Technology AG (Germany). He is Chilean, married,<br />
and has a daughter and a son. Daniel is a Civil Industrial Engineer from the<br />
Pontificia Universidad Católica de Chile - PUC with an MBA from the<br />
Fachhochschule Pforzheim of Germany.<br />
What products or services does your company deliver and to what<br />
kind(s) of NCREs?<br />
Thanks to our experience, we are actively contributing to shape the<br />
future of energy supply with reliable and efficient solutions. SMA also<br />
offers specialized advice on PV plants for improved functioning and<br />
maximum yield. Standard service solutions and service schemes where<br />
SMA assumes the complete O&M of a solar PV installation.<br />
Which have been the latest new services or changes introduced by your<br />
Company?<br />
Last year, SMA won the Intersolar Award 2017 for the new Sunny<br />
Tripower CORE1 three phase inverter, which showed unprecedented<br />
technological innovations in this field. Also in 2017, we achieved a<br />
record in sales surpassing, for the first time, the 8.5 GW annual volume.<br />
What are the main projects -or themes- you have been recently working<br />
on concerning NCRE or the environment? In case they are generation<br />
plants, where are the located and which are their main characteristics?<br />
In Chile and Brazil, we supplied over 300 MW for large-scale projects.<br />
During 2017, SMA also closed its first projects in Chile in the field of<br />
complete O&M of installations, totaling.<br />
Which elements characterize and/or distinguish your company?<br />
SMA is a pioneer company in the field of solar PV power with over 35<br />
years of worldwide experience. The high quality and durability standards<br />
of our technologies, the specialization and promptness of our Service<br />
team, and the wide variety of solutions offered for PV systems, have<br />
been key aspects.<br />
How important is NCRE participation in the Chilean electric system?<br />
We are clearly facing an energy revolution. Participation in NCRE is<br />
nowadays fundamental and -in spite of past difficulties- dominant in the<br />
country’s electric system. The national power market’s trend is to be<br />
each day more renewable and diverse based on these generation<br />
sources.<br />
Why would you recommend being an <strong>ACERA</strong> member?<br />
<strong>ACERA</strong> groups the main companies that have leaded the country’s<br />
energy transformation. It is, therefore, an Association that assembles a<br />
broad experience and is prepared for future challenges. Being part of<br />
<strong>ACERA</strong> is key for any company interested in this industry.
