Andrew has always been full of fun ideas,
so it’s not unusual for him to have a random idea for us to do.
I had planned for our families to meet one Saturday night
and he came up with one of his sweet, but random, ideas.
He told me we should bury a time capsule–
full of reasons why we love each other.
We each had a mason jar that we filled up with our notes,
then we’d read them, combine them into another jar,
and bury them to read years from now.
I read mine first, then it was his turn to read.
After he read his, he pulled the ring out from the bottom
of the jar and asked me to marry him.
I don’t remember exactly what he said, but I did
manage to get out a ‘Yes’ after the initial shock wore off!
He had also planned for his brother, Ryan, to come
and capture the special moment and I’m so thankful for that.
It was a perfect moment that we’ll never forget!
What’s neat, is that now, we are building our forever home on the
same spot where he proposed and we buried our time capsule!
