brandvarnare!
Brandvarnare hör till den
lagstadgade utrustningen i varje
hem. Anskaffning och skötsel ankommer
på den boende.
Reglerna för brandvarnare
har ändrats i år och är följande:
varje våning i en bostad bör ha
minst en egen brandvarnare.
för varje påbörjad yta om 60
m2 bör i varje våning fi nnas
minst en brandvarnare.
T.ex. i en våningshusbostad på
65 m2 bör det fi nnas två brandvarnare.
Eventuella tilläggsvarnare bör
installeras före den 1.1. 2010.
Utöver tamburer och korridorer
rekommenderas installation
av brandvarnare också i varje
sovrum.
Brandvarnaren bör hållas i
skick och dess kapacitet bör regelbundet
testas.

A Christmas-time memorandum
to all A-companies tenants
The offi ce
on Vuorikatu 3, serves during Christmas
and turning of the year as follows:
on the day before Christmas Eve
23.12 open from 10 to 16 hrs
on Christmas Eve 24.12 the offi ce
is closed
on the days between 28. to 30.12
opened as normal from 10 to 16 hrs
on New Year’s Eve opened from
10 to 16 hrs

Christmas saunas
The A-companies offer their tenants
a possibility to enjoy Christmas sauna
free of charge. This year the sauna
turns offered by the company are
on the day before Christmas Eve on
the 23.12.
The only exceptions are the A-
houses on Linjatie, where information
about the sauna turns is given
separately.
The Christmas sauna turns are
reserved on separate lists that will
be put on your house’s sauna door
week 51. Those tenants that have
their normal weekly sauna turn on
Wednesday keep their customary
sauna turns.
Except for the additional Christmas
sauna turns the regular sauna
schedules, even at Christmas time,
are in use as normal.
Property maintenance
In maintenance matters the tenants
can contact the offi ce (tel. 019)
5213600 on weekdays and during
offi ce hours. During holidays, in
the evening or at night in cases of
emergency, contact the on duty- call
maintenance number 040 5928505.
Cleaning of properties
On weekdays even at Christmas time
the properties are cleaned according
to normal cleaning schedules.
The A-companies maintenance
reminds, since this Christmas ordinary
weekdays are celebrated as holidays,
the tenants own tidiness has
a big impact on everyone’s living
comfort.
Self-infl icted littering – such as
carrying the Christmas tree through
the staircases – must always be cleaned
by the tenants themselves.
Waste disposal
At Christmas time the capacity of the
waste containers can be stretched to
their limit. Careful sorting of waste
prevents overloading the waste
containers. The property waste containers
are only meant for normal
household waste. Location of other

Itä-Uudenmaan Jätehuolto (Itä-
Uusimaa Waste Disposal) collets the
Christmas trees for energy utilization
during weeks 2 and 3. Whole trees
can be left by the waste container as
such, but trees must not be stuffed
into plastic bags.
Waste Disposal Stations take in
Christmas trees also as waste wood
that households can collect free of
charge.
Fire safety
When you acquire and connect electric
Christmas decorations, check the
condition of the equipment as well as
the wires and sockets. Do not make
any “do-it-yourself” installations. If
there is a socket on your balcony,
you can then connect lights and light
series meant for outdoor use.
Do not leave a candle burning
unattended. Burn candles only in
safe candleholders or fi reproof mats.
A fi re alarm is a by law prescribed
equipment and it is the residents responsibility
to acquire and maintain
it.
Orders concerning fi re alarms
have changed this year. Presently for
each beginning 60 m2 of a fl at there
has to be at least one fi re alarm. This
means that in a 65m2 fl at there has
to be two fi re alarms.
The possible additional alarms
have to be installed by 1.1.2010.
Protect your
belongings
Break-ins into storerooms before
Christmas are regrettably common.
Do not leave presents for thieves. Private
property kept in the storerooms
is always the owner’s responsibility.
In the kitchen
Do not leave Christmas food on the
cooker or in the oven unattended.
Grease or steam can pour out of the
oven and damage your kitchen fl oor.
Damages caused by the residents
own carelessness is always the resident’s
responsibility.
Do not pour melted grease into
the drain. Grease stiffens and blocks
the drain.
Parking
The A-companies parking places are
mainly reserved for the residents, the
possible guest places are marked separately.
The guest parking spaces
are only meant for short parking time.
Parking on a resident’s place is
only allowed if the residents have
agreed about this. Parking elsewhere
than on marked spaces in the yard is
strictly forbidden.
Give Christmas peace
Also during Holidays the neighbours
right to peaceful living and the house
rules must be remembered. Intensifi
ed night peace in the A-houses is in
force from 23.00 to 07.00 hrs.
A-tenant, if your neighbour is disturbing,
you have the right to report
the disturbance to the A-maintenance,
on weekdays during offi ce hours
