(O. Temkin parle de "rediscovery of these texts") en observant : "All the scholars who
examined this manuscript were interested in Hippocrates. But the second part of the
manuscript proved to be far more important than the beginning... Our manuscript was
written at the end of the 9th century, but in all probability it is not an original, but a
copy of an older manuscript".
cette affirmation : "There can be no doubt... that in the history of early medieval medicine,
Ravenna in the 6th century played a very important part", et encore il observe
avec une extrême perspicacité : "the way the medical classics were interpreted there,
remind us very much of Alexandria, and Ravenna, therefore, appears as a western
Alexandria".
