Warnings and Cautions<<strong>br</strong> />
The exhaust vent on the Exhalation Port is designed to exhaust CO 2 from the patient circuit.<<strong>br</strong> />
Continuous flow is required for safe operation. Do not block or otherwise try to seal the exhaust vent on the exhalation port.<<strong>br</strong> />
Before instituting mechanical ventilation, confirm the proper connection of the circuit, and verify ventilator operation. Patient, ventilator and<<strong>br</strong> />
circuit must be monitored on a regular basis per established hospital standards of care.<<strong>br</strong> />
Do not pull or stretch the circuit tubing. This could result in circuit leakage.<<strong>br</strong> />
This circuit is not re<strong>com</strong>mended for use with a heated humidifier since it does not allow for the use of water traps.<<strong>br</strong> />
Assembly Instructions<<strong>br</strong> />
1. CONNECT THE CIRCUIT TUBING.<<strong>br</strong> />
Connect a low-resistance, mainflow bacteria filter on the outlet port of the BiPAP unit. Connect the cuffed end of the 6' Tubing to the outlet<<strong>br</strong> />
port of the filter.<<strong>br</strong> />
2. CONNECT THE PROXIMAL PRESSURE LINE ASSEMBLY. (Refer to illustrations below.)<<strong>br</strong> />
BiPAP S-D or S/T-D Units with Airway Pressure Monitor (APM) (Figure 1)<<strong>br</strong> />
a. Connect the 24" length of line to the Pressure Port on the front of the BiPAP unit.<<strong>br</strong> />
b. Connect the 2" length of line to the Airway Connection Port on the rear of the APM.<<strong>br</strong> />
BiPAP S-D or S/T-D Units without Airway Pressure Monitor (APM) (Figure 2)<<strong>br</strong> />
a. When the Airway Pressure Monitor is not used, only the 84" length of proximal pressure line tubing is needed. Disconnect the 2" and 24"<<strong>br</strong> />
length from the assembly by cutting the 84" tubing near the Tee Connector. Discard the Tee Connector, 2" length and 24"<<strong>br</strong> />
length of tubing.<<strong>br</strong> />
b. Connect the 84" length to the Pressure Port on the front of the BiPAP unit.<<strong>br</strong> />
BiPAP S or S/T Units with Airway Pressure Monitor (APM) (Figure 3)<<strong>br</strong> />
a. When a non-diagnostic unit is used (BiPAP S unit or BiPAP S/T unit), only the 84" length of proximal pressure line tubing is needed.<<strong>br</strong> />
Disconnect the 2" and 24" length from the assembly by cutting the 84" tubing near the Tee Connector. Discard the Tee Connector, 2"<<strong>br</strong> />
length and 24" length of tubing.<<strong>br</strong> />
b. Connect the 84" length of line to the Airway Connection Port on the rear of the APM.<<strong>br</strong> />
3. CONNECT THE EXHALATION PORT END OF THE TUBING TO THE MASK’S ROTATING CONNECTOR.<<strong>br</strong> />
The vent on the Exhalation Port should be positioned away from the patient's face.<<strong>br</strong> />
THIS CIRCUIT IS DESIGNED FOR SINGLE PATIENT USE. IT IS NOT INTENDED TO BE CLEANED OR STERILIZED. The length<<strong>br</strong> />
of time a circuit is used should be determined by the appropriate personnel, based on accepted infection control procedures.<<strong>br</strong> />

Le circuit disposable BiPAP <strong>com</strong>prend un tuyau de circuit et une ligne de pression proximale.<<strong>br</strong> />
AVERTISSEMENT/ATTENTION<<strong>br</strong> />
L’évent sur l’orifice d’expiration sert à évacuer le gaz carbonique du circuit respiratoire. Un flux continu doit pouvoir<<strong>br</strong> />
s’échapper de l’orifice d’évacuation. NE BLOQUEZ PAS ET NE BOUCHEZ PAS L’EVENT DE L'ORIFICE D’EXPIRATION .<<strong>br</strong> />
Avant d’établir une ventilation mécanique, vérifiez que le circuit est bien <strong>br</strong>anché et que le ventilateur fonctionne<<strong>br</strong> />
correctement. Le patient, le ventilateur et le circuit doivent être contrôlés régulièrement selon les procédures hospitalières<<strong>br</strong> />
standard.<<strong>br</strong> />
Ne tirez pas sur le tuyau. Ceci risquerait de provoquer une fuite.<<strong>br</strong> />
Ce circuit ne doit pas être utilisé avec un humidificateur chauffant, car il ne permet pas l’utilisation de piège à eau.<<strong>br</strong> />
MONTAGE<<strong>br</strong> />
1. BRANCHEZ LE TUYAU DU CIRCUIT.<<strong>br</strong> />
Raccordez un filtre bactérien de faible résistance sur l’orifice de sortie de l’unité BiPAP. Branchez le raccord du tuyau de 2 mètres sur<<strong>br</strong> />
l’orifice de sortie du filtre.<<strong>br</strong> />
2. RACCORDEZ LA LIGNE DE PRESSION PROXIMALE. (Voir les illustrations au dos).<<strong>br</strong> />
Appareils BiPAP S-D ou S/T-D avec moniteur de pression respiratoire (APM) (Figure 1)<<strong>br</strong> />
a. Connectez le tube de 60 cm sur l’orifice de pression situé à l’avant de l’unité BiPAP.<<strong>br</strong> />
b. Connectez le tube de 6 cm sur le raccord respiratoire situé à l’arrière de l’APM.<<strong>br</strong> />
Appareils BiPAP S-D ou S/T-D sans moniteur de pression respiratoire (APM) (Figure 2)<<strong>br</strong> />
a. Lorsqu’aucun moniteur de pression respiratoire n'est utilisé, une ligne de pression proximale de 2 m 13 est suffisante. Dé<strong>br</strong>anchez<<strong>br</strong> />
les sections de 6 et 60 cm de l’ensemble en coupant le tube de 2 m 13 près du connecteur en T. Jetez le connecteur en T et les<<strong>br</strong> />
sections de 6 et 60 cm.<<strong>br</strong> />
b. Branchez le tube de 2 m 13 sur l’orifice de pression situé à l’avant de l’unité BiPAP.<<strong>br</strong> />
Appareils BiPAP S ou S/T avec moniteur de pression respiratoire (APM) (Figure 3)<<strong>br</strong> />
a. Lorsqu’un appareil non destiné au diagnostic est utilisé (BiPAP S ou BiPAP S/T), une ligne de pression proximale de 2 m 13 est<<strong>br</strong> />
suffisante. Dé<strong>br</strong>anchez les sections de 6 et 60 cm de l’ensemble en coupant le tube de 2 m 13 près du connecteur en T. Jetez le<<strong>br</strong> />
connecteur en T et les sections de 6 et 60cm.<<strong>br</strong> />
b. Branchez le tube de 2 m 13 sur le raccord respiratoire situé à l’arrière de l’APM.<<strong>br</strong> />
3. BRANCHEZ LE COTE ORIFICE D’EXPIRATION DU TUYAU SUR LE CONNECTEUR PIVOTANT DU MASQUE.<<strong>br</strong> />
L’évent de l’orifice d’expiration doit être tourné à l’opposé du visage du patient.<<strong>br</strong> />
CE CIRCUIT NE DOIT ETRE UTILISE QUE POUR UN SEUL PATIENT. IL NE DOIT ETRE NI NETTOYE NI STERILISE.<<strong>br</strong> />
La durée d'utilisation du circuit doit être déterminée par le personnel qualifié, sur la base des protocoles reconnus de<<strong>br</strong> />
contrôle d’infection.<<strong>br</strong> />

ADVERTENCIA: La abertura de ventilación del conector espiratorio ha sido diseñada para expulsar el CO 2 del circuito del<<strong>br</strong> />
paciente. Para el funcionamiento seguro del dispositivo se requiere un flujo continuo. NO BLOQUEE NI<<strong>br</strong> />
CIERRE LA ABERTURA DE VENTILACIÓN DEL CONECTOR ESPIRATORIO.<<strong>br</strong> />
ADVERTENCIA: Antes de <strong>com</strong>enzar la ventilación mecánica, confirme la correcta conexión del circuito y <strong>com</strong>pruebe el<<strong>br</strong> />
funcionamiento del ventilador. El paciente, el ventilador y el circuito deben ser supervisados de manera<<strong>br</strong> />
regular según las normas respectivas establecidas por el hospital.<<strong>br</strong> />
ADVERTENCIA: No tire del tubo de circuito ni lo tense ya que podrían producirse fugas en el circuito.<<strong>br</strong> />
PRECAUCIÓN: No se re<strong>com</strong>ienda utilizar un humidificador calefactor con el circuito ya que éste no admite el uso de<<strong>br</strong> />
trampas de agua.<<strong>br</strong> />
INSTRUCCIONES DE MONTAJE<<strong>br</strong> />
1. CONECTAR EL TUBO DE CIRCUITO.<<strong>br</strong> />
Conecte un filtro antibacteriano de baja resistencia al flujo al conector de salida de la unidad BiPAP. Conecte el extremo reforzado<<strong>br</strong> />
del tubo de 1,83 m (6 pies) al conector de salida del filtro.<<strong>br</strong> />
2. CONECTAR LA LÍNEA DE PRESIÓN PROXIMAL. (Consultar las instrucciones en el anverso).<<strong>br</strong> />
Unidades BiPAP S-D o S/T-D con monitor de presión de las vías respiratorias (APM) (Figura 1)<<strong>br</strong> />
a. Conecte el segmento de 24 pulgadas de longitud al conector de presión de la parte frontal de la unidad BiPAP.<<strong>br</strong> />
b. Conecte el segmento de 2 pulgadas de longitud al conector de conexión de las vías respiratorias en la parte posterior del monitor APM.<<strong>br</strong> />
Unidades BiPAP S-D o S/T-D sin monitor de presión de las vías respiratorias (APM) (Figura 2)<<strong>br</strong> />
a. Cuando no se utiliza un monitor de presión de las vías respiratorias, solamente se necesita el segmento de 84<<strong>br</strong> />
pulgadas de la línea de presión. Desconecte los segmentos de 2 pulgadas y 24 pulgadas de la unidad cortando el<<strong>br</strong> />
tubo de 84 pulgadas cerca del conector en T. Deseche el conector en T y los dos segmentos desconectados.<<strong>br</strong> />
b. Conecte el segmento de 84 pulgadas de longitud al conector de presión en la parte frontal de la unidad BiPAP.<<strong>br</strong> />
Unidades BiPAP S o S/T con monitor de presión de las vías respiratorias (APM) (Figura 3)<<strong>br</strong> />
a. Cuando la unidad utilizada no es de diagnóstico (<strong>com</strong>o las unidades BiPAP S o BiPAP S/T), solamente se necesita<<strong>br</strong> />
el segmento de 84 pulgadas de la línea de presión. Desconecte los segmentos de 2 pulgadas y 24 pulgadas de la<<strong>br</strong> />
unidad cortando el tubo de 2 m cerca del conector en T. Deseche el conector en T y los dos segmentos desconectados.<<strong>br</strong> />
b. Conecte el segmento de 84 pulgadas de longitud al conector de las vías respiratorias en la parte posterior del monitor APM.<<strong>br</strong> />
3. CONECTAR EL EXTREMO DEL CONECTOR ESPIRATORIO DEL TUBO AL CONECTOR GIRATORIO DE LA MASCARILLA.<<strong>br</strong> />
La abertura de ventilación del conector espiratorio debe colocarse en dirección opuesta a la cara del paciente.<<strong>br</strong> />
ESTE CIRCUITO HA SIDO DISEÑADO PARA SER UTILIZADO EN UN SOLO PACIENTE. NO DEBE LIMPIARSE NI<<strong>br</strong> />
ESTERILIZARSE. El tiempo de utilización de un circuito debe ser determinado por el personal adecuado en función de los<<strong>br</strong> />
procedimientos de control de las infecciones aceptados.<<strong>br</strong> />

Das Einmal-Schlauchsystem für BiPAP ® -Systeme besteht aus einem Atemschlauch und einem Druckmeßschlauch.<<strong>br</strong> />
WARNUNG: Durch die gekennzeichnete Ausatemöffnung am Ausatemventil wird CO2 aus dem Atemschlauch entfernt. DIE<<strong>br</strong> />
AUSATEMÖFFNUNG AM AUSATEMVENTIL DARF NICHT BLOCKIERT ODER ANDERWEITIG VERSCHLOSSEN<<strong>br</strong> />
WERDEN.<<strong>br</strong> />
WARNUNG: Vergewissern Sie sich vor Beginn der Beatmung, daß das Schlauchsystem richtig angeschlossen ist und das<<strong>br</strong> />
Beatmungsgerät ordnungsgemäß funktioniert. Der Patient, das Beatmungsgerät und das Schlauchsystem müssen<<strong>br</strong> />
nach den im Krankenhaus geltenden Pflegestandards regelmäßig überwacht werden.<<strong>br</strong> />
WARNUNG: Nicht am Schlauchsystem ziehen oder es dehnen. Dies könnte zu Lecks im Schlauchsystem führen.<<strong>br</strong> />
VORSICHT: Es wird nicht empfohlen, diesen Schlauch mit einem beheizten Befeuchter zu verwenden , da der Einsatz von<<strong>br</strong> />
Wasserfallen nicht möglich ist.<<strong>br</strong> />
MONTAGEANLEITUNG<<strong>br</strong> />
SCHRITT 1 ANSCHLUSS DES SCHLAUCHSYSTEMS<<strong>br</strong> />
Setzen Sie einen Hauptstrom-Bakterienfilter in die Luftaustrittsöffnung des BiPAP-Gerätes ein. Schließen Sie den<<strong>br</strong> />
1,83 m langen Schlauch an dem mit dem Verbindungsstück versehenen Ende an die Auslaßöffnung des Filters an.<<strong>br</strong> />
SCHRITT 2 ANSCHLUSS DES DRUCKMESSSCHLAUCHES (siehe Abbildungen auf Rückseite)<<strong>br</strong> />
BiPAP S-D oder S/T-D mit Atemwegdruck-Monitor (APM) (Abbildung 1)<<strong>br</strong> />
a. Stecken Sie den 60 cm langen Druckmeßschlauch an den Druckmeßschlauchanschluß auf der Vorderseite des BiPAP ®-<<strong>br</strong> />
Gerätes. Verbinden Sie dann den 5 cm langen Druckmeßschlauch mit dem Druckanschluß auf der Rückseite des Monitors.<<strong>br</strong> />
BiPAP S-D oder S/T-D ohne Atemwegdruck-Monitor (APM) (Abbildung 2)<<strong>br</strong> />
a. Wenn kein Atemwegdruck-Monitor verwendet wird, wird nur der 210 cm lange Druckmeßschlauch benötigt.<<strong>br</strong> />
Entfernen Sie die 6 cm und 60 cm langen Schlauchstücke vom Schlauchsystem, indem Sie das 210 cm lange<<strong>br</strong> />
Schlauchstück nahe am T-Anschluß abschneiden. Entsorgen Sie den T-Anschluß und die 5 cm und 60 cm langen<<strong>br</strong> />
Schlauchstücke.<<strong>br</strong> />
b. Stecken Sie den 210 cm langen Druckmeßschlauch in den Druckanschluß auf der Vorderseite des BiPAP-Gerätes.<<strong>br</strong> />
BiPAP S oder S/T mit Atemwegdruck-Monitor (APM) (Abbildung 3)<<strong>br</strong> />
a. Wenn kein diagnostisches Gerät verwendet wird (BiPAP-Geräte vom Typ S oder S/T), wird nur der 210 cm lange<<strong>br</strong> />
Druckmeßschlauch benötigt. Entfernen Sie die 5 cm und 60 cm langen Schlauchstücke vom Schlauchsystem, indem<<strong>br</strong> />
Sie das 210 cm lange Schlauchstück nahe am T-Anschluß abschneiden. Entsorgen Sie den T-Anschluß und die 5 cm<<strong>br</strong> />
und 60 cm langen Schlauchstücke.<<strong>br</strong> />
b. Stecken Sie das 210 cm lange Schlauchstück in den Druckanschluß auf der Rückseite des Monitors.<<strong>br</strong> />
SCHRITT 3 ANSCHLUSS DES AUSATEMVENTILENDES DES SCHLAUCHSYSTEMS AN DEN DREHANSCHLUSS DER MASKE<<strong>br</strong> />
Die Ausatenöffnung des Ausatemventiles sollte vom Gesicht des Patienten weg weisen.<<strong>br</strong> />
DIESES SCHLAUCHSYSTEM IST FÜR DEN GEBRAUCH DURCH EINEN EINZIGEN PATIENTEN BESTIMMT. ES DARF NICHT<<strong>br</strong> />
GEREINIGT ODER STERILISIERT WERDEN. Die Verwendungsdauer eines Schlauchsystems sollte vom Fachpersonal nach den<<strong>br</strong> />
anerkannten Infektionskontrollverfahren festgelegt werden.<<strong>br</strong> />

Il circuito monouso BiPAP ® è <strong>com</strong>posto dal tubo del circuito e dalla linea di pressione prossimale.<<strong>br</strong> />
AVVERTENZA: Lo sfiato sulla porta espiratoria è concepito per eliminare dal circuito paziente la CO2 espirata. Per un<<strong>br</strong> />
funzionamento sicuro del sistema è necessario che vi sia un flusso continuo dallo sfiato. NON OSTRUIRE NÉ<<strong>br</strong> />
SIGILLARE IN ALCUN MODO LO SFIATO DELLA PORTA ESPIRATORIA.<<strong>br</strong> />
AVVERTENZA: Prima di iniziare la ventilazione meccanica, verificare che il circuito sia collegato correttamente e che il<<strong>br</strong> />
ventilatore funzioni. Il paziente, il ventilatore e il circuito devono essere monitorati regolarmente secondo i<<strong>br</strong> />
protocolli ospedalieri al riguardo.<<strong>br</strong> />
AVVERTENZA: Non tirare o tendere il tubo del circuito altrimenti si possono verificare delle perdite.<<strong>br</strong> />
ATTENZIONE: Si sconsiglia l’uso di questo circuito assieme a un umidificatore riscaldato in quanto non consente l’uso di<<strong>br</strong> />
raccogli condensa.<<strong>br</strong> />
ISTRUZIONI DI MONTAGGIO<<strong>br</strong> />
PASSO 1 COLLEGAMENTO DEL TUBO DEL CIRCUITO<<strong>br</strong> />
Collegare un filtro antibatterico a bassa resistenza alla porta d’uscita dell’unità BiPAP. Collegare l’estremità del tubo da 182 cm<<strong>br</strong> />
dotata di manicotto alla porta d’uscita del filtro.<<strong>br</strong> />
PASSO 2 COLLEGAMENTO DELLA LINEA DI PRESSIONE PROSSIMALE (v. illustrazioni sul retro)<<strong>br</strong> />
Unità BiPAP S-D o S/T-D con monitor di pressione delle vie aeree (APM) (figura 1)<<strong>br</strong> />
a. Collegare il segmento da 61 cm della linea alla porta di pressione sul davanti dell’unità BiPAP.<<strong>br</strong> />
b. Collegare il segmento da 5 cm della linea alla porta di collegamento delle vie aeree sul retro dell’APM.<<strong>br</strong> />
Unità BiPAP S-D o S/T-D senza monitor di pressione delle vie aeree (APM) (figura 2)<<strong>br</strong> />
a. Quando non si usa il monitor APM, è necessario solo il segmento da 213 cm della linea di pressione prossimale. Scollegare i<<strong>br</strong> />
segmenti da 5 e 61 cm dal gruppo tagliando il tubo da 213 cm in prossimità del connettore a T. Gettare via il connettore e i due<<strong>br</strong> />
segmenti di tubo non utilizzati.<<strong>br</strong> />
b. Collegare il segmento da 213 cm alla porta di pressione sul davanti dell’unità BiPAP.<<strong>br</strong> />
Unità BiPAP S o S/T con monitor di pressione delle vie aeree (APM) (figura 3)<<strong>br</strong> />
a. Quando si usa un’unità priva di funzioni diagnostiche (unità BiPAP S o unità BiPAP S/T), è necessario solo il segmento da 213<<strong>br</strong> />
cm della linea di pressione prossimale. Scollegare i segmenti da 5 e 61 cm dal gruppo tagliando il tubo da 213 cm in prossimità<<strong>br</strong> />

respirator och andningskrets måste övervakas regelbundet i enlighet med etablerad sjukvårdsstandard.<<strong>br</strong> />
Dra ej i slangen. Det kan uppstå läckor i andningskretsen.<<strong>br</strong> />
Denna andningskrets bör inte användas med en uppvärmd luftfuktare, eftersom andningskretsen inte medger användning av vattenfälla.<<strong>br</strong> />
MONTERINGSANVISNINGAR<<strong>br</strong> />
1. ANSLUTA SLANGEN.<<strong>br</strong> />
Koppla ett bakteriefilter med lågt motstånd på BiPAP-apparatens utloppsport. Anslut 1,8-metersslangens muffände till filtrets utloppsport.<<strong>br</strong> />
2. KOPPLA TRYCKSLANGEN. (Se illustrationerna på baksidan.)<<strong>br</strong> />
Apparaterna BiPAP S-D eller S/T-D med APM-monitor för övervakning av luftvägstryck (Fig. 1)<<strong>br</strong> />
a. Koppla den 61 cm långa slangen till tryckporten på BiPAP-apparatens framsida.<<strong>br</strong> />
b. Koppla den 5 cm långa slangen till luftvägsanslutningsporten på APM-monitorns baksida.<<strong>br</strong> />
Apparaterna BiPAP S-D eller S/T-D utan APM-monitor för övervakning av luftvägstryck (Fig. 2)<<strong>br</strong> />
a. När APM-monitorn inte används, krävs endast den 213 cm långa tryckslangen. Koppla bort de 5 cm och 61 cm långa slangarna från<<strong>br</strong> />
aggregatet genom att kapa den 213 cm långa slangen nära T-anslutningen. Kassera T-anslutningen och de 5 cm och 61 cm långa<<strong>br</strong> />
slangarna.<<strong>br</strong> />
b. Anslut den 213 cm långa slangen till tryckporten på BiPAP-apparatens framsida.<<strong>br</strong> />
