“The Balenciaga and Haute Couture in Barcelona” è una retrospettiva che si terrà fino al 22 settembre 2013 al Museo Cristòbal Balenciaga di Barcellona. Obiettivo è dimostrare, con 78 modelli, tra cui alcuni del grande stilista, e 50 bozzetti, come la straordinaria couture dell’indimenticabile maestro spagnolo abbia in primis influenzato, non solo Parigi e i grandi nomi del fashion system di ieri e di oggi, ma soprattutto i designer spagnoli del suo tempo, totalmente avvinti da un talento multiforme come un’Idra. D’altronde, come prescindere dalla potenza geometrica e possente dei suoi modelli così eccitantemente nuovi nel panorama della moda? Tra il 1935 e il 1968, con Balenciaga di stanza a Barcellona, nomi come Pedro Rodríguez, Manuel Pertegaz, Asunción Bastida, El Dique Flotante e Santa Eulalia videro in lui una Stella Polare. E lo stesso vale oggi per tanti giovanissimi creatori. / “The Balenciaga and Haute Couture in Barcelona” is the exhibition that can be visited until the 22nd of September 2013 at the Museum Cristobal Balenciaga in Barcelona.
