Towards <strong>the</strong> <strong>F3</strong>-<strong>MITIC</strong> Certification in Switzerland<br />

Centre) – KCTR 5 (Knowledge Centre for Teachers and<br />

Researchers). <strong>F3</strong>-<strong>MITIC</strong> was already, indeed, in <strong>the</strong> plan<br />

of actions during <strong>the</strong> second meeting of December, 2000<br />

of <strong>the</strong> Task Force in creation «<strong>ICT</strong> and training».<br />

Many Swiss responsibles for education know <strong>the</strong> action<br />

plan of May, 2001 of <strong>the</strong> CDIP-CH 6 and <strong>the</strong> «Loi fédérale<br />

sur l’encouragement de l’utilisation des technologies de<br />

l’information et de la communication dans les écoles» 7<br />

voted in December, 2001 as well as <strong>the</strong> so far first three<br />

series <strong>F3</strong>-<strong>MITIC</strong> (02-03, 03-04 and 04-05).<br />

During <strong>the</strong> prototyping, from 2001-2002 on, <strong>the</strong><br />

key question was raised of <strong>the</strong> certification and of<br />

<strong>the</strong> ECTS 8 credits (Switzerland ratified <strong>the</strong> Bologna<br />

declaration on December 4th, <strong>2003</strong>).<br />

The May, <strong>2003</strong> Münchenwiler Workshop was thus <strong>the</strong><br />

opportunity for reactivating <strong>the</strong> search for solutions to<br />

this problem. The program of this workshop evidences<br />

<strong>the</strong> anticipative vision of <strong>the</strong> <strong>process</strong>.<br />

In this register, <strong>the</strong> SATW 9 , through its <strong>ICT</strong> Committee,<br />

was able to entirely play its specific role: to be a catalyst<br />

by allowing different potential actors to share and to<br />

consult to propose realistic recommendations which<br />

will be <strong>the</strong>n pursued by proper authorities. Thanks to<br />

this synergy, in June <strong>the</strong>n in December, 2004, after a<br />

meticulous study and a methodical construction, <strong>the</strong><br />

CDIP-CH finalized <strong>the</strong> regulations 10 among which<br />

<strong>the</strong> <strong>F3</strong>-<strong>MITIC</strong> profile.<br />

This is indeed a very good news especially in <strong>the</strong><br />

current tepid context: an example to be followed by<br />

all concerned by <strong>the</strong> professional development in <strong>the</strong><br />

<strong>Information</strong> Society !<br />
