SHELTER RT ist nach dem JACK WOLFSKIN REAL TUNNEL-Prinzip konstruiert. Eine spezielle
Abspann-Vorrichtung und neuartige Schnittweise ermöglichen eine enorme Windstabilität und erhöhen
den nutzbaren Innenraum.
Somit entsteht ein sturmstabiles Allround-Tunnelzelt mit viel Komfort für den anspruchsvollen Einsatz.
Durch die außen liegenden Gestängekanäle und die REAL TUNNEL-Abspannungen ist es leicht und
bequem aufzubauen – bei normalen Windverhältnissen sind keine Abspannleinen mehr nötig.
Die große Apsis, der Fronteingang mit Schneeschutz und 2 Belüftungshauben erhöhen die Lebensqualität.
Einen zusätzlichen Nutzen bieten der stabile Kompressionspacksack, die Netztaschen und Wäscheleinenschlaufen
im Innenzelt.
The SHELTER RT is constructed in accordance with the JACK WOLFSKIN REAL TUNNEL design principle.
A specialised guying procedure and innovative shape mean the tent exhibit fantastic lateral windstability
and the usable space within the tent is greater. Result: a wind stable, all-round tunnel tent with
optimised space-to-weight for the discerning user.
Externally configured pole channels combined with the REAL TUNNEL triangular guying system makes
the tent easy to pitch – in normal conditions you can even do without the guy lines.
A large vestibule, front entrance with snow protector and 2 ventilation ducts improve the quality of tentbound
life immeasurably! Additional useful features include a robust compression packsack, mesh storage
pouches and drying line loops in the inner cabin.
La SHELTER RT est conçue selon le principe du REAL TUNNEL de JACK WOLFSKIN. Un dispositif de
tension spécial ainsi qu'une coupe novatrice lui donne une résistance au vent exceptionnelle et accroissent
l'espace intérieur utilisable.
On obtient ainsi une tente-tunnel haut de gamme polyvalente résistant bien à la tempête et offerant ainsi un
grand comfort pour des utilisateurs exigeauts exigeante. Les fourreaux d'introduction des armatures situés
à l'extérieur et les tendeurs REAL TUNNEL permettent de monter la tente en toute facilité – dans des
conditions de vent normales, les haubans ne sont plus nécessaires.

accroissent la qualité de vie. Le sac de rangement à compression très stable, les poches à résille et les

MATERIALS
TECHNICAL FEATURES
Die wasserdichte Außenhaut ist aus strapazierfähigem 75 D Polyester RIPSTOP mit PU-
Beschichtung gefertigt. Für das Innenzelt wurde ein atmungsaktives 70 D Nylontaft verarbeitet.
Der Zeltboden besteht aus PU-beschichtetem 70 D Nylon HYDROFILM. Die Nähte Ihres
SHELTER RT sind mit einer speziellen Nahtbandversiegelung versehen. Es empfiehlt sich,
Nahtstellen, in die Bänder oder Gummilitzen mit eingefasst sind und die so die Bandabklebung
unterbrechen, von innen und außen zusätzlich mit beiliegendem Nahtdichter abzudichten.
Eine Garantie für die Verklebung ist ausgeschlossen.
The watertight flysheet is constructed from durably robust PU-coated 75 D RIPSTOP polyester,
the inner from a breathable 70 D nylon taffeta. The groundsheet is manufactured from
PU-coated 70 D HYDROFILM nylon. The seams of your SHELTER RT are specially tape
sealed; however we do recommend additional sealing of all internal and external seams with
the seam sealant provided, particularly at those points of the seam where tapes or rubber
tensioning loops are integrated into the seam and thus interrupt the continuity of the tape
seal. We offer no guarantee on the glued areas of the seams.
Le double-toit étanche est en polyester 75 D RIPSTOP très résistant, enduit de PU. La tente
intérieure est en taffetas de nylon 70 D respirant. Le tapis de sol est en nylon 70 D HYDRO-
FILM, enduit de PU. Les coutures de votre tente SHELTER RT sont recouvertes d'une bande
scellée spéciale destinée a les rendre étanches. Il est recommandé de traiter spécialement
sur l'endroit et sur l'envers avec l'imperméabilisant fourni, les endroits où des bandes et des
cordons en caoutchouc sont insérés dans la couture et interrompent donc le collage des
bandes. Le collage est exclu de la garantie.

Wählen Sie zunächst einen geeigneten Standort

zusammen, so dass diese fest ineinander sitzen. Achten Sie
darauf, dass während des Aufbaus alle Reißverschlüsse

Choose a suitable site, removing any sharp
objects which might damage the groundsheet.
Spread out the tent on the ground and
carefully connect all pole sections, ensuring they lock
together firmly. Ensure that all zips are closed when
pitching the tent.

aufbauen und sich vor Antritt der ersten Reise mit
allen Aufbauschritten Ihres SHELTER RT vertraut
machen.
PHASE
Pitching your tent for the first time:
We recommend you do a dry run with your new tent, in order to familiarise yourself with all
the pitching instructions for your SHELTER RT before your first trip.

afin de vous familiariser avec les différents éléments et les différentes opérations de montage
de votre SHELTER RT, nous vous conseillons de faire un essai avant de partir en voyage.

Choisissez d’abord un emflacement approprié pour
desser votre tente en prenant soin d’enlever tous
les objetspointus pouvant endommager le sol de la tente.
Étalez votre tente à plat sur le sol et assemblez soigneusement les
différents segments en aluminium composant les arceaux, de manière
à ce qu'ils soient bien emboîtés les dans les autres. Veillez à ce que
toutes les fermetures à glissière soient bien fermées pendant le
montage de la tente.

Ihr SHELTER RT hat 2 gleich lange und eine kürzere, an den
Enden vorgebogene, Alustangen. Die beiden langen Stangen
bilden den Eingangs- und Apsidenbereich, die kürzere Stange
den Fußteil des Zeltes. Führen Sie die Stangen, mit der runden Endkappe
voraus, nun vorsichtig in die entsprechenden außen liegenden Stangenkanäle
nacheinander ein. Achten Sie darauf, dass die Stangenenden wirklich
voll in den Bandtaschen am Ende des Stangenkanals „eingerastet“
sind. Setzen Sie dann zuerst den hinteren, dann die vorderen Bögen unter
Spannung, indem Sie die Stangenenden in die verstellbaren Bandösen am
Überzeltrand einstecken und fest nachspannen. Wenden Sie keine Gewalt
an. Wenn Sie auf Widerstand stoßen während Sie die Stangen einführen
oder spannen, machen Sie das Problem ausfindig und beheben Sie es. Die
stramme Grundspannung der Stangen in den Stangenkanälen ist die Voraussetzung
für besten Stand und Sturmstabilität Ihres Zeltes.

Your SHELTER RT has three aluminium poles (two long, one
short) with pre-shaped end caps. The two long poles form the
entrance and vestibule area, while the short pole forms the
foot end of the tent. Carefully insert the poles one after the other, with the
rounded end cap first, into the external pole channels. Ensure that the
ends of the poles are pushed right into the tape pouches at the ends of the
pole channels. Tension first the rear then the front hoop(s) by inserting the
end tips into the adjustable tape eyelets at the edge of the flysheet. Do not
use force. If resistance is met when the poles are inserted or tensioned,
check and remedy the problem. Correct tensioning of the pole sections in
the pole channels is the basic requirement for a secure, wind-stable pitch.

Votre
SHELTER RT a 2 armatures de longueur
identique et une plus courte, précintrées aux
extrémités. Les deux armatures longues constituent
la zone d’entrée et l’abside ; l'armature plus courte, le
bas de la tente. Introduisez à présent successivement avec précaution,
par l’embout rond, les armatures dans les fourreaux
extérieurs pour armatures correspondants. Veillez à ce que les
extrémités des armatures soient vraiment entièrement
«enclenchées» dans les poches de bande à l’extrémité du
fourreau à armature. Commencez par mettre sous tension
l'arceau arrière puis les arceaux avant en plaçant les extrémités
des armatures dans les oeillets de bandes réglables placés en
bordure du double-toit et tendez fermement. Ne forcez pas. Si
vous rencontrez de la résistance pendant que vous introduisez
les arceaux ou que vous les tendez, recherchez le problème et
éliminez-le. Bien tendre dès le départ les armatures dans leurs
fourreaux est la condition pour que votre tente tienne le mieux
possible et offre une résistance maximale au vent.

Fixieren Sie Ihr SHELTER RT zunächst an der
mittleren Schlaufe der REAL TUNNEL-Befestigungsdreiecke
der hinteren Apsis (Fußteil vom
Innenzelt) mit einem Hering. Nehmen Sie anschließend die
beiden Schlaufen der REAL TUNNEL-Abspanndreiecke der
vorderen Apsis zur Hand und ziehen Sie Ihr Zelt nach vorne
hin wie eine Ziehharmonika auseinander.
Richten Sie das Zelt gerade aus und fixieren Sie die vorderen
Befestigungsschlaufen mit Heringen.

Now anchor your SHELTER RT by pegging
out the middle guying loops of the
REAL TUNNEL anchor triangle at the rear porch
(foot end) of the tent. Then take hold of the two loops of the
REAL TUNNEL triangular tensioning system at the front
vestibule and pull the tent forwards like a concertina.
Straighten the tent, then peg out the remaining front anchor
points.
3PHASE

Commencez par fixer votre SHELTER RT à la
boucle médiane des triangles de fixation REAL
TUNNEL de l'abside arrière (pied de la tente
intérieure) avec un piquet. Saisissez ensuite les deux
boucles des triangles de tension REAL TUNNEL de l'abside
frontale et déployez votre tente en la tirant vers l'avant comme
un accordéon.
Dressez la tente jusqu'à ce qu'elle soit bien droite et fixez les
boucles de fixation avant avec des piquets.

Nun ringsum am Boden alle REAL TUNNEL-
Abspanndreiecke straff ausspannen. Dabei sollen
die Abspanndreiecke an dem hinteren Gestängekanal
schräg nach außen gespannt werden, so dass auch in
Längsrichtung des Zeltes Spannung entsteht. Damit steht
Ihr SHELTER RT bei normalen Windverhältnissen ohne
Abspannleinen sicher.
Bei extremen Windstärken empfiehlt es sich, Abspannleinen
(nicht im Lieferumfang) in die dafür vorgesehenen Schlaufen
am Gestängekanal und der Belüftungshaube einzuknoten
und zusätzlich abzuspannen.
Bei Nässe kann sich das PU-beschichtete Außenzeltpolyester
dehnen. Es muss dann etwas nachgespannt werden.

Next, make sure that all the REAL TUNNEL tensioning
triangles located around the edge of the
groundsheet are correctly tensioned. The tensioning
triangles on the front and rear pole channels should be
tensioned diagonally outwards so that longitudinal tension
is also created. This will ensure that your SHELTER RT is
stable in normal wind conditions, even without guy lines.
In extreme wind conditions we recommend you attach additional
guy lines to the loops on the pole channels and the
ventilation ducts of the tent. Additional guy lines are not
supplied as standard.
When wet, the PU-coated polyester flysheet material may
stretch slightly. Re-guy where necessary.
4P HASE
4
Aprésent, tendez bien tout autour au sol les triangles
de tension REAL TUNNEL. Ce faisant, les
triangles de tension du fourreau à armature arrière
doivent être tendus obliquement vers l'extérieur afin que la
tente soit aussi tendue en longueur. Dans des conditions de
vent normales, votre SHELTER RT tiendra déjà bien même
sans haubans.
Mais si la force du vent est extrême, il convient pour plus de
sécurité d’attacher les haubans (non livrés avec la tente) aux
boucles du fourreau d'armature et de la calotte d’aération,
prévues à cet effet, et de les tendre.
Par temps humide, le polyester enduit PU du double-toit
peut se détendre. Il doit être, dans ce cas, légèrement retendu.

BELÜFTUNG
Die variablen Eingänge und die 2 Belüftungshauben sorgen für eine variable Luftzirkulation
und vermindern die Gefahr der Kondenswasserbildung. Dennoch ist Kondenswasserbildung
unvermeidbar. Verwechseln Sie Kondenswasser bitte nicht mit eindringender Feuchtigkeit.
PFLEGE
Reinigen Sie Ihr SHELTER RT in aufgebautem Zustand ausschließlich mit Wasser und wenig
Seife. Reinigen Sie vor allem die Reißverschlüsse regelmäßig von Schmutz und Sand. Geeignete
Silikonschmiermittel schützen Stangen vor Korrosion und Reißverschlüsse vor dem Einfrieren.
FEUER
Offenes Feuer und Flammen sind eine Gefahr für Zeltgewebe. Vermeiden Sie offenes Feuer in
unmittelbarer Nähe des Zeltes.
UV-STRAHLUNG
Ultraviolette (UV-) Strahlung vermindert mit der Zeit die Reißfestigkeit aller modernen Zeltmaterialien.
Das spezielle Polyester-Zeltmaterial erhöht die Lebensdauer gegenüber herkömmlichen
Nylon-Zeltmaterialien, kann aber auch auf Dauer der Natur nicht trotzen. Bitte
vermeiden Sie deshalb dauerhafte intensive Sonneneinwirkung. JACK WOLFSKIN übernimmt
keine Garantie für Schäden durch UV-Strahlung.
VENTILATION
Efficient air circulation and a reduction in the build-up of condensation are achieved through
the variable entrances, the twin ventilation ports and the additional roof duct. However, condensation
cannot be completely avoided. Please do not confuse condensation build-up with
actual water penetration through the fabric of the tent.
CARE AND MAINTENANCE
Clean your SHELTER RT when pitched, using only a little soap and water. Zips in particular
should be cleaned regularly to remove dirt and grit. Suitable silicone-based lubricants protect
poles from corrosion and prevent zips freezing.
FIRE PREVENTION
Open fires and flames are a hazard for tent materials. Avoid naked flames in the immediate
vicinity of the tent.
UV LIGHT
Ultraviolet (UV) radiation reduces the tearstrength of all tent materials in the course of time.
The special polyester tent material increases the service life in comparison with conventional
nylon materials. Tent materials, however, cannot permanently defy the effects of nature.
Therefore, please avoid subjecting the tent to intensive sunlight for extended periods of time.
JACK WOLFSKIN will not assume any liability for damage caused by ultraviolet light.
AÉRATION
Les entrées modulables et les deux calottes d'aération assurent une bonne circulation de l'air
et réduisent le risque de formation d’eau de condensation. Malgré tout, il est impossible de
prévenir totalement la formation d’eau de condensation. Ne confondez pas cependant eau de
condensation et pénétration d’humidité.
ENTRETIEN
Nettoyez votre SHELTER RT, montée, uniquement à l’eau un peu savonneuse. Débarrassez
surtout régulièrement les fermetures à glissière de la saleté et du sable. Des lubrifiants appropriés,contenant
de la silicone, protègent les armatures de la corrosion et les fermetures à glissière
du gel.
FEU
Le feu non confiné et toute flamme en général représentent un risque pour la toile. Evitez
d’approcher toute flamme nue de la tente.
RAYONNEMENT ULTRAVIOLET
Avec le temps, les rayons ultraviolets (UV) viennent à bout de toutes les toiles de tente en
matières modernes. La toile spéciale en polyester accroît la longévité de votre tente par rapport
à celles en Nylon traditionnelles, mais à la longue, elle ne peut résister à la nature. Nous
vous prions donc d’éviter toute exposition intensive de longue durée au soleil. Jack Wolfskin
n’assume aucune garantie pour les dommages causés par les rayons ultraviolets.

REPARATUREN
Reparaturmaterialien für kleine Reparaturen unterwegs liegen bei. Produktionsfehler werden
im Rahmen der Garantieleistungen repariert. Andere Reparaturen führen wir gegen eine
Gebühr gerne aus. Schicken Sie das gereinigte Zelt mit klarer Reparaturkennzeichnung/
-anweisung und Ihrem Kaufbeleg über Ihren Fachhändler ein.
LAGERUNG
Bevor Sie Ihr Zelt längere Zeit lagern, muss es vollkommen durchgetrocknet sein, sonst
besteht Gefahr von Schimmel- und Stockfleckenbildung.
REPAIRS
Repair materials for minor repairs during usage are provided. Production faults will be repaired
under the terms of our guarantee. Our service department will be pleased to perform
other repairs for a small charge. Please send in your cleaned tent via your nearest dealer,
enclosing clear repair instructions and proof of purchase.
STORAGE
Allow your tent to dry thoroughly while still assembled before storing it for any longer
period. This will prevent mildew and damp stains forming.
RÉPARATIONS
Le matériel pour les petites réparations en cours de voyage est fourni avec la tente. Les
défauts de fabrication sont couverts par la garantie. Nous effectuons volontiers les autres
réparations contre paiement. Veuillez nous expédier la tente nettoyée, en joignant le bon de
caisse, par l’intermédiaire de votre magasin spécialisé, avec de claires indications et instructions
de réparation.
STOCKAGE
Avant d’être stockée pendant une durée prolongée, la tente doit être entièrement sèche, afin
de prévenir la formation de moisissure et de taches d’humidité.
