QUESTA SUPERFICIE COSÌ UNICA E RICONOSCIBILE è data da uno stampo in resina ottenuto dal calco di una pietra fiammata. La fiammatura è una
lavorazione possibile solo su alcune pietre dalle caratteristiche idonee (come i graniti, che contengono elevate quantità di quarzo), la cui superficie viene
investita da un getto di fiamma viva a elevate temperature e subito dopo raffreddate ad acqua. Lo shock termico provoca la dilatazione della pietra e la
conseguente rugosità tipica di questa finitura. Altra caratteristica importante di Buxy Flammé è la doppia pressatura: a una prima pressatura che serve
a compattare le argille micronizzate che costituiscono il corpo della piastrella fa seguito l’applicazione di una seconda miscela raffinata che costituisce
la vera e propria decorazione; a questo punto, una seconda pressatura più energica fa compenetrare i due strati di materiale e conferisce alla superficie
la struttura della pietra fiammata. / THIS UNIQUE AND RECOGNISABLE SURFACE has been created using a resin die moulded from a stone with a flash
effect. Flash effect texturing can only be performed on certain types of stone (granite, for instance, that has a high content of quartz). It consists of
singeing the surface of the stone with a flame jet and then plunging the stone into water to obtain immediate cooling. The abrupt temperature change
makes the stone expand and the result is a typically rough texture. Another striking feature of Buxy Flammé is double pressing: the first press stroke
compacts micronised clay that forms the body of the tile; a mixture that will give life to the decoration is thus applied; the body and decoration are
therefore pressed at a higher force to allow the two layers of material to blend and to give the structure the particular appearance of flash effect stone. /
CETTE SURFACE, UNIQUE ET TYPIQUE, est le résultat de l’utilisation d’une matrice obtenue par le moulage d’une pierre flammée. Le flammage ne peut
être réalisé que sur certaines pierres dotées de caractéristiques spécifiques (telles que les granits très riches en quartz), dont la surface est soumise
à un jet de flammes vives à très hautes températures puis immédiatement refroidie à l’eau. Le choc thermique provoque la dilatation de la pierre en
conférant la rugosité typique de cette finition. Les double pressage est une autre caractéristique importante de Buxy Flammé : le premier pressage,
pour compacter les argiles micronisées qui constituent le corps du carreau, est suivi de l’application d’un deuxième mélange raffiné qui constitue la
véritable décoration ; un deuxième pressage plus énergique fait pénétrer les deux couches de matériau en conférant à la surface la structure de la

geflammten Steines erzeugt wird. Die Flammung ist eine Bearbeitung, die nur auf einigen Steinen mit passenden Eigenschaften möglich ist (wie
die Granite, die hohe Quarzmengen enthalten); ihre Oberfläche wird dabei mit einem offenen Flammenstrahl mit hohen Temperaturen behandelt
und gleich danach mit Wasser abgekühlt. Der Temperaturschock verursacht die Ausdehnung des Gesteins und demzufolge die typische Rauhigkeit
dieser Bearbeitung. Eine weitere wichtige Charakteristik von Buxy Flammé ist das doppelte Pressverfahren: Nach dem ersten Pressverfahren, das zur
Verdichtung der mikronisierten Tone des Fliesenkörpers dient, wird eine zweite raffinierte Mischung aufgetragen, die die eigentliche Dekoration bildet;
danach sorgt ein zweites energischeres Pressverfahren dafür, dass die beiden Materialschichten ineinander eindringen und die Oberfläche die Struktur
des geflammten Natursteins annimmt.
