Notice biographique / Histoire administrative :<br />
Couple de compositeurs <strong>et</strong> professeurs de musique genevois. <strong>Georges</strong> <strong>Delaye</strong> fut professeur de<br />
piano, d'harmonie <strong>et</strong> de contrepoint à l'Académie de musique puis au Conservatoire de Genève, <strong>et</strong><br />
directeur du Corps de musique de Landwehr de 1892 à 1905; il dirigea l'Ecole sociale de musique,<br />
de sa fondation en 1932 à 1937. <strong>Elsa</strong> <strong>Fuchs</strong> enseignait également au Conservavtoire.<br />
Les deux musiciens ont composé de nombreuses pièces, principalement des oeuvres pour piano <strong>et</strong><br />
des airs pour chant <strong>et</strong> piano, mais aussi des opér<strong>et</strong>tes <strong>et</strong> des oeuvres pour d'autres instruments.<br />
