And, whenyou release the throttle lever, thetines will stop.A tip for extending yourengine’s lifeAfter you start the engine, letyour tiller warm up for two to threeminutes before you use it. Then,before you put your tiller away, letit idle for a minute to give theengine a chance to cool down.OperationWith engine running, and bothhands on the handles, press thethrottle lock out button (Picture 4),then squeeze the throttle triggergradually to increase the enginespeed and engage the tines.NOTE: This step must berepeated each time your tillertrigger is released.NOTE: Once the throttle triggeris squeezed, you can release thelockout button (Picture 5).How to get your tiller to your gardenWalk it.Once your tiller is running,you can “walk” it to yourgarden. Just press the throttlelever gently and let the tiller“tip-toe” across your yard on itstines. It won’t hurt your lawn ordriveway. (Picture 1)Carry it.Make sure the engine is off.Then use one hand to grasp theconvenient carrying handle. Usethe other hand to hold thehandlebars.
