SMSB-M21T-ABInserting the SIM cardBefore inserting the SIM card, proceed as follows: DISABLE THE PIN CODE using a mobile phone; Disable the answering machine.Insert the SIM card with its gold contacts facing toward the front, into the slot.The SIM card is always to be inserted and/or removed with the device TURNED OFF.The device works with either prepaid or subscription SIM cards as well as data SIM cards. The latter, however, areonly enabled for sending and receiving SMS messages, so the “phone ring” function cannot be used.Connecting the Digital Alarm InputThe device has an alarm input, which allows you to send a text message to, both opening and closing of each contact,administrative users.Connect the contacts of the input (as illustrated in the installation diagram) to the contactors, remote switchesand/or electromechanical switches, when there is no electrical potential (voltage free contact) and in strict conformancewith the regulations in force.Connecting the GSM AntennaScrew the GSM antenna into the SMA connector.Connecting the Relay OutputThe device has a relay output that handles power loads of up to 0,5A 250VAC (resistive). Follow the installation instructionscarefully according to the data plate indications (see corresponding section).The device may be activated or deactivated by an SMS and/or telephone ring. If the device is connected to a heatingor air-conditioning system, it may be turned on and off according to the room temperature (thermostat).ProgrammingInstalling the Programming SoftwareTo install the software, proceed as follows:Insert the mini-CD in the CD-ROM drive of the PC;Wait for the CD-ROM to run automatically. If this feature is disabled, open Explorer, right click on the CD-ROMicon and then click on Autoplay.Click on the “Install” setup iconWarning: during the software installation procedure it may be necessary to install Microsoft .NET Framework 4. Aninternet connection may also be necessary.13
