EnglishSafeVision SwitchboxInstallation and setting instructions5 Important wiring installation 7 Replacing the cover- All electrical wiring must be carried out in accordancewith Local and National Electrical Standards andCodes. i.e. EN 60079-14 (1997) or IEC 60079-14(1996).- The proper wiring diagram for each unit is locatedinside the SafeVision housing. Check that the correctwiring diagram has been included and follow thediagram carefully.- Connect with wiring 0.5 mm2 to 2.5 mm2, check thatthe wires are properly inserted into the terminal blockand that all terminal screws are tight.- Ensure that the internal earth (Ground) wire isconnected to the screw on the Switch/Terminal blockplate using a suitable crimped lug.- Ensure that the external earth (Ground) wire isconnected to external earth stake using minimum 2.5mm2 wiring and a suitable crimped lug.- All unused cable entries are to be sealed using suitableATEX approved blanking plugs.1 Confirm the final position of the actuator / valve.2 Ensure that the visual indicator display coincides withthe position of the valve and that the drive tang on theindicator drive shaft, is in the same orientation as theslot on the switching drive shaft.3 Replace the cover assembly with the two shaftsengaged correctly and tighten the eight cover to basesecuring screws.4 Operate the unit fully in both directions several times tocheck that the visual indicator is operating correctly.5 If repositioning of the visual indicator display is requiredfor orientation, unscrew the stop screw and rotate theouter cap anti-clockwise by 15 degrees. Lift the cap toremove it.6 Reset the indicator by lifting and repositioning on thedrive shaft. Replace the outer cap and retighten thescrew.7 The SafeVision is now ready for operation.6 Setting the switches1 Each switch has its own independent cam arrangement.2 Lift the bottom cam against the spring to disengage itfrom the drive spline and turn it until the switch isactivated. Once in the correct position, push the camback on to the spline.3 To set the other cam, operate the unit to the oppositeend of its travel and adjust in the same manner.4 Operate the unit fully in both directions several times tocheck that the switches are operating correctly.Terminal railSquare Drive ShaftSplinesSwitchesCamsSpringsDOC.SVM.1 Rev: A 4March ‘04

In the event of failurereplace parts only with HYTORK suppliedcomponents. In an emergency replace thecomplete switch box.Be sure to disconnect all air and electrical suppliesbefore starting any dismantling or maintenance onthe actuator or switchbox.Repair of this equipment shall be carried out bysuitably trained personnel in accordance with theapplicable code of practice e.g. EN 60079-19.EnglishThe top and bottom bearings are designed for 5million operations.
