Questa registrazioneriveste una grande importanza,perchè impone la creazione di unvero Sistema di Gestione Ambientalebasato sul continuo miglioramentodelle proprie prestazioni ambientali.Il sistema si basa sulla creazionedi un rapporto di collaborazione efiducia con le istituzioni del territorio(Enti, Autorità, Associazioni,Rappresentanze Sindacali, Scuole,Stampa) e con il pubblico, ed èprevista la partecipazione attiva ditutti i dipendenti. La DichiarazioneAmbientale è il documento finaleche descrive gli aspetti ambientalie di sicurezza sul lavoro, leprestazioni ambientali del sito e gliobiettivi ambientali che l’Aziendasi impone di raggiungere nell’otticadel miglioramento continuo. Ladichiarazione è convalidata da unVerificatore Ambientale Accreditatoa seguito verifiche ispettive (audit)eseguite in stabilimento. Cotto d’Este hasobtained EMAS Registration for allits production sites: Finale Emilia(MO) (registration n.I-000309 onApril 2005), Toano (RE) (registrationn.I-000239 on September 2004) andFiorano Modenese (MO) (registrationn.I-000401 on December 2005).This registration is of majorimportance, since it requires aproper Environmental ManagementSystem to be created, based onthe continual improvement ofenvironmental performance withinorganisations. The scheme is basedon the creation of an open dialoguewith local institutions (Agencies,Authorities, Associations, TradeUnion Representatives, Schools,Press) and with the public, and it isexpected that all employees will playan active part. The EnvironmentalStatement is the end document thatdescribes the environmental andsafety aspects in the workplace,the environmental performanceof the site and the environmentaltargets that the Company sets itselfwithin the framework of continualimprovement.
