SPECTRALIS 2Mode "Pattern-Jam"3.1 Sélectionner, jouer et ajuster les patterns - the ”Pattern-Jam” mode3.1.1 IntroductionUn pattern est un élément de votre Song. Il est constitué d’un ensemble de motifs d’unedurée de 1 à 16 mesures (1 mesure = 4 temps). Le séquenceur du Spectralis a été pensépour une édition en temps réel des patterns. Autant dire que vous passerez le plus clair devotre temps dans ce mode.3.1.2 La première session de “Pattern-Jam”Appuyez sur le bouton [Pattern] de la section « Num-button Assignement ». Utilisez lesboutons 1-16 ou Shift 1-16 pour sélectionner le pattern correspondant. Utilisez le potard[tempo] de la section « Transport » pour fixer votre BPM. Comme vu plus haut, on peutstocker 32 patterns dans 1 Song.[Shift] allows to view the part activity during playback. Just hold the [Shift] button down during muting or soloing parts to see, whichparts are playing. The corres-ponding Num-Button LEDs will It's much easier to identify a part you want to mute if the part activity isvisible.Tip:The buttons of the "Num-Button-Assignment"-section and the buttons of the "Part"-section changethe assignments of the numeric buttons. This is why only one of these function can be accessed at atime. As a rule this will be the most recently selected function.Using the numeric buttons 1-15 you are now able to mute individual parts. After you’redone muting once again push the [Pattern]-button. If one of the parts is still muted whenyou push the button, you will see the [Mute]-button blinking, signaling that you are notcurrently hearing all of the tracks. When you are selecting a new pattern, the settings ofthe new pattern will override your current mute settings. Sometimes you may just want toselectively mute a few parts – without losing the previous assignments of the numericbuttons. That is definitly possible.Tip:If you are currently in "Pattern-Jam"-mode, you can also select the mute- function on a ”temporary”basis. Hold down the [Mute]-button in the "Part"-section and push the numeric button of the partswhich you wish to mute. Once you release the numeric button the Spectralis will automatically revertto the "Pattern-Select"-mode. This tip will also work with the [Select]-and the [Solo]-button.25
